"That is a stand, it's currently invisible to you because stands are invisible to people without stands, but that is going to change soon, you have been called here because you all have the potential to develop stands, which is rare in the current time."

"And for the question about the powers of the stands, they mostly have random powers, but there are come consistencies, most of stand have the ability to turn intangible, are vastly above the capabilities of a regular human and can only be harmed by other stands"

Right after getting stabbed, Ian is now able to see Robert's stand, It's a pink humanoid frog-like creature with several red greek crosses on his body.

The stand removes the arrow from Ian and returns close to Robert, then the wound from the arrow quickly regens.
