He uses it for close range combat ALL the time. Does Altair have Soul resistance? If not, she will get destroyed just by being in the spear's presence.

Seeing she dying so fast will make Reinhard bored, even if she can rerurn.

So, yeah, he will use the spear.

Now why would outerversals be fighting with supernova level attacks? Aiming to hurt each other with said attacks? Probably because they're not outerversal? Lol

In their final clash, Reinhard's power was again eequaled by Mercurious's multiple star level attacks
