Oh I didn't see that Ant was concluding this before my response.
Anyways I think what Red has put sounds alright. Perhaps someone like Reppuzan can reword it a bit.

"Do not attempt to make Sonic (Game characters) such as Super Sonic tier 2 because even with several tier 2 feats it is highly inconsistent within the franchise as it mostly shows tier 5 and 4 feats. This has been debunked (thread) and (Thread)."
Wait a minute, other than Dark Gaia and the Final Egg Blaster, what other Tier 5 or 4 feats are there?

Honestly, Super Sonic has more feats to place him as Universal+ at least instead of Large Star level. He has Solaris, Time Eater and Egg Wizard. Then there's only one feat for Large Star to my knowledge.

It's not like there's any shortage of universal feats for him, infact someone pointed out there's just as many as there are planet/star level feats, so why bother ignoring them because they don't "Make sense" or correlate with other stories? I mean, how many RPG characters have just randomly jumped from city level to universe level with no justification outside of simply "The final boss was god who created the universe and he was defeated", it rarely makes sense but you wouldn't argue those feats were outliers since they're the climax of the game, so why do it with Sonic?

What I think people are missing is that the writers usually don't write their characters with power scaling in mind, they don't follow the busting scale or even acknowledge why a universal being was defeated by some farmboy with no explanation as to how they randomly go from tier 7 to tier 2, because they don't need to, the story isn't usually about getting stronger, it's usually telling a story about the characters and the world around them, not "This is how character became x strong". So we're left with 2 options, either acknowledge that there does exist a universal ingame sonic (Make a seperate profile for it if that bothers you so much", or rework a crapload of vs wiki pages and downgrade their tiers since the jump from tier 5 to tier 2 didn't make sense or wasn't consistent with the plot.

He pointed out that they don't make sense within the rest of the games canon, this makes sense and I wont argue against it, but I don't believe that the correct course of action is to just assume every universal feat is an outlier, and I'm sure this wont be the last universal feat we see of sonic. It just seems unfair to ignore legitimate feats and call them outliers just because they don't fit within the wiki's method of tiering, I'd propose we at least make an acknowledgement that these happened, either via seperate tier on his game page or a seperate page for universal sonic.

Well, if that were the case, then a separate tier would be needed. A universal Sonic would be completely unnecessary. There appear to be more Tier 5 to Tier 4 feats in the first Sonic games, but there are a few more Tier 2 feats than the one Tier 5 feat, Dark Gaia, from Sonic '06 onwards.

Here's an analogy.

Crono jumps from tier 5 to tier 2. However, that's the last showing we have of him. We can make an assessment that he got stronger after fighting Lavos the first time because while ridiculous, there's no contradictions. Sonic is a character with dozens of games of lore, and his powered up forms and the power source have a bunch of lore with it. Sonic has tier 2 feats. There's tons of stuff to contradict it.
