Possible Earthbound (beginnings) upgrade?

So compared to characters from Earthbound and Mother 3 (aka Earthbound 2), Earthbound beginnings has pretty weak party members. Wheres they are Mountain level in EB and M3, they're only Building level in EBB. However, I have noticed they could be possibly upgraded to the same level by powerscaling. But I'd really like people's opinions on this before upgrading.

Part of the reason why Earthbound characters are at Moutain level is by powerscaling them with an enemy called the "Nuclear Reactor Robot ". Now, in the japanese version, they're known as "Super Energy Robos". Meanwhile in Earthbound Beginnings, there are enemies simply called the "Super Energys", which also have a very similar design, powers and are both found at the end of the game. If they are essentialy the same enemy (they still have a slight name and design difference), then the Earthbound Beginnings cast would also be powerscaled to them.

Keep in mind that the EBB cast already has the same speed as the EB and M3 cast and that in Mother 3 there's also an enemy called the "Nuclear Reactor Robot " too, which despite a design difference is still considered the same enemy due to the same name, abilities, powerscaling etc.

Thoughts? Mountain level EBB cast or nay?

I don't think this type of thinking is reliable, sure the enemy is basically the same(name,sprite,moves).....though the enemy could still be a different entity in the game....Given that mother 2(earthbound) recycled a lot of elements from mother 1 (earthbound beginnings) that being because the creator wanted fans to still recognize the series . The enemies could be at total different power levels in the different games (remember this is an RPG)

Well Earthbound Beginnings (unlike Mother 3) takes place in the same world as Earthbound. Those robots are both recruted by Giygas and everything so it's likely they are the same (similar to two Stalfos across different Zelda games being the same level of power). Not to mention Ninten and Ness both fight alongside the Flying Men who share all the same attributes (living in magicant, representing courage, dying permanently once defeated etc.) who should scale them together.

Yes I am aware of the shared world of mother 1 and 2 (also mother 3 is also in their universe but technically another world all together) But mother 1 is a prequel and giegue's influence on them is probably not as strong as Giygas's(late giegue) The idea is a little unreliable but not out of the question....

And what about the Flying Men? They're shared across games too and they're not influence by Giygas.

Yeah true. But if anything wouldn't Maria's Flying Men be more powerful than Ness'? Oh and Lloyd and Jeff even use some of the same battle items and guns such as: bombs, super bombs, bottle rockets, sticky machine, laser beam and the death beam. The last two in particular are some of their strongest weapons and share the same japanese name.

I feel as if the EBB cast could be upgraded. One simple reason is because the main cast can survive direct attacks from Giygas in their final battle. I'm not saying at all that they should be scaled to planet level since Giygas could not be harmed, was still vastly superior, and was holding back, however they should be waaaaay higher than 8-C. Any planetary being could instantly kill a tier 8 by lightly brushing air in their direction, so I highly doubt that the main party is just building level. Continent level or at least somewhere in tier 6 makes sense if they're able to withstand restricted blows from a 5-B character.

We don't know just how accurately Giygas can hold back his strength. We've seen Universe level characters in fiction, such as Beerus, only exerting planet or even wall level strength for the sake of holding back. Making an assumption that those were Continent level hits is just a baseless assumption anyway. I would personally say it's likely they might scale to EB's cast, but currently there's no solid evidence.

Both the EBB and M3 cast fight Titanians towards the end of the game (same Japanese name and similar sprite and everything). But they supposedly take place in different Universes so I don't know if it scales directly. Not to mention the cast of M3 still has a chapter to go before they fight the mountain level enemy. Thoughts?

I don't think there's enough evidence to suggest that the Titanians from both games scale to the same level. I think if we're going to scale multiple characters to the same enemy, it should be the exact same entity (like Porky for example) instead of one with a similar name that's technically different.
