Giratina and the Sky Warrior. http://*********.to/Anime/Pokemon-Giratina-and-the-Sky-Warrior-Dub/Movie?id=78082

Skip to 1:01:13 and continue watching for approx five minutes. A flying machine piloted by some human dodges a bunch of lightning by Magne-family, which we consider real lightning. Scales to Pikachu, as it has faster reactions than a human in the same movie.

I'm hoping someone would calc this for me, as I well...can't. Main reason I'm bringing it up like this instead of blogging it.

Now you realize that people in Pokemon are blatantly superhuman :S

Anyways, if this is assumed to be real lightning, I am guessing it would scale to Pikachu, but doesn't Pikachu already have Massively Hypersonic+ reactions?

1) Well, not for nothing they can guide their pokemons in battle (and take their attacks)

2) he is only High Hypersonic (Mach 36)

Watching the video from 1:01:13, I did see the fiying machine dodging some lightning bolts by the Magnemites.

Are you sure we should treat Magnemite's electric attacks as real lightning? I was thinking it should be treated more like the example shown here, as it directly shows the speed of Pikachu's attack speed.

The lightning bolts thrown by Magnemite should have comparable speed to this one.

The Lightning is only for the Magnemite family due to them qualifying for the definition of true lightning.

However, we see Pikachu and Magnemite fighting on seemingly equal terms in the video here. Shouldn't this mean that Magnemite and Pikachu should have comparable speed with each other?

Pikachu's speed should be upgraded here. The calculation shown above was extremely lowballed because it tells us that Magnemite fired his lightning bolts at the very end of the stadium, which is probably not the case.

This is true. They should have comparable attack speed (unless this feat places Pikachu at higher, in which he's faster :p). Also, Pikachu's attack speed was shown to be comparable to actual lightning and Magnezone's mirror shot.

While the feat itself seems alright (although it might need calcing), however, why is the attack considered real lightning?

Well, for an electrical attack to be considered real lightning, the attack in question should have an electromagnetic field, and on here, it states that:

The magnetic units on Magnemite's body create electromagnetic waves that allow it to defy gravity and can potentially disrupt electrical equipment.

This would mean that Magnemite's attacks would generate an electromagnetic field with its attacks.

Considering I'm fairly certain Magnemite and its evolutions have had multiple statements and Pokedex entries which would suggest they generate actual lightning via electromagnetism, I'd say it's legit.

Is a calculation for Pikachu and the speed of the hovercraft needed? It would certainly cement the speed upgrade for Pikachu.

Im sure this has been answered before but is there any reason we cant assume any electric type's electric attacks are real lightning?
NOT ANY, only Magnemite's

I know that im asking why only his. What implies that not all electric types shoot real lightning in their electric attacks? Im not sure if its answered or not but im only asking for the reason why

I did a calculation revision here . This would scale to Magneton and all the Pokemon that can match Pikachu in terms of speed.

Edit: Posted on the Calculation Evaluations thread.
