Imo the only way to make it BB specific is if he used the Yami, which he didn't do yet

Exactly. Law and Blackbeard clash, and Blackbeard used his right hand to parry Law's blade. It's only with his left hand immediately after that he uses the Yami Yami no Mi to pull Law into his grasp. And based on the evidence and the text above, he's heavily implied to be using Busoshoku Haki to deflect Law's blade.

Hadn't seen this until now, but yes, this checks out.
Especially as we see him also use Armament to block against S-Hawk's slash, and this has the same exact coloring and what not.
