Haki was invisible pre-timeskip like when he used it on Aokiji, the Bisento almost treated that magma attack as solid instead of a liquid & it didn't melt of from the heat. Haki grants heat resistance.

He instantly melted the iceberg then held his fist and shot up dozens of meteors
