Naruto to Boruto Discussion Thread

Funny enough we have a lot of simile statements in fiction lol.
Eg Yamamoto “Think of my body and blade as being enveloped by the sun” his body and blade is as hot as the sun though his body and blade are not literally the sun they can get that hot this is a simile and it is a valid statement because this is fiction.
 
I know Yamamoto mentioned specifically that the Heat reaches 15000000 degrees. My point was to draw the comparison itself. Though Ryujin Jakka is not the sun it is comparable to the heat of the sun and this is valid in Fiction. As in fiction you can can literal figurative statements.

Ryujin Jakka - 15000000 degrees Celsius

The sun core- 15000000 degrees Celsius

The Kirin one is heavily agreed upon by majority of the fans to be valid, I don't need to touch much on it here. I'm currently discussing the double lariat because no one pays attention to it anymore. Meanwhile I think it is a good supporting evidence for Light-speed Raikage.

The deadliest expressions don't always mean stronger. There was an expression for Edo Deidara that said he was one of the deadliest characters. There's a similar expression for Kakuzu. It's a bit more ruthless and something said in reference to hax.

There was also a statement that Konoha's 4 great jonin are the strongest jonin. Kurenai Asuma was raising Gai and Kakashi but I still couldn't find the source of this statement. I think it was in the anime-specific databook.

I’d wait to see if Damage’s thread goes through or not. IMO whether or not it gets accepted as literal vs hyperbolic depends on the surrounding context. Aka are there supportive light speed scaling etc etc. So, if Damage’s thread goes through, I think you’d have a much harder time building that consistency.

a true Minato fan wouldn’t settle for anything less than ftl combat for the flash of the hidden leaf

Don’t worry about what is acceptable by the wiki just go for what you feel deep down is truth, that mentality closes off a lot of upgrades in the wiki that wouldn’t be opposed had you done them off wiki due to the unofficial nature of other platforms

Majority of fans do agree but at the end of the day your arguments need to be convincing to staffs, same staffs who agreed to the downgrade. If you arguments are convincing enough we're behind you.

For double lariat you'd have a really hard time passing it

I think his argument was like this: When Minato's Jonin state is mentioned, Minato is called Yellow Flash. The Minato that Raikage is close to Minato in terms of speed is also Jonin Minato. Besides, Edo Minato's feats put him far above Raikage.

Because when calculating something’s KE you need the speed of that something. The moon’s KE is the MOON’s speed squared times half the moon’s mass.

Minato became Hokage primarily due to his performance during the war, where he earned the title “Yellow Flash.” This reputation could arguably extend to his entire tenure as Hokage with him growing even faster and stronger as time passed, up until his death. As a Jonin, Minato demonstrated speed far surpassing Ay’s when they clashed. However, after that encounter that is at least 20 years ago, Ay continued to grow in both strength and speed. Therefore, the claim that Adult Raikage’s Double Lariat is comparable ~ Jonin Minato’s speed isn’t unreasonable.
