Considering even Teen KM0 Naruto was nothing to one of the weakest Akatsuki members (Deidara), I don't really think so
If you mean versatility wise sure, I meant in terms of strength.

Well Sarada’s statement is rather explicit and direct. I guess you can debate over whether or not they actually achieved that “doubled strength many times over”, but it seems to be decently supported given they do get stronger. And the story states it’s a “necessity”. So I imagine statement + consistency in portrayal is why it’s accepted

All the Akatsuki members are Bijuu level fighters
Bijuu are so powerful they’re usually kept near the Kage because they’re the only people that can subdue them should something happen.
Most, if not all the Akatsuki are either low end Kage level or just straight up Kage level.
Asuma’s not better either way
Asuma seeks to play an active part in protecting it tho that’s different from Part 1 Kakashi who is slowly healing from his trauma over his time with T7 and his interactions with Naruto. He’s much more of a logical and jaded Shinobi at this point.
And those qualities are probably more fit a Kage than Asuma who doesn’t necessarily want a spotlight role and had his own way of protecting the “King”

I don't think this is actually relevant to the statement tbh, cause Kishimoto said Kakashi is "qualified" for the position, as in having the capability to be Hokage, not that he wants to or anything. In fact we know he doesn't.

Deidara being able to clash with members of Team Guy brings him there on a low end imo.
I also don't think Kakashi don't much stronger from LoW to Shippuden so that just another difference of opinion ig
Kakashi is probably stronger, is smarter, has a more collected disposition that a leader would need, and probably a lot more notoriety in and out of the village.
I personally don't see how Asuma would be a better candidate but to each their own.

Funny enough you do need a counter to debunk it lmao. It’s not vague it’s rather direct, many (3-4) doubles in strength (factors of 2), is lowballed to 3 doubles (which is 2^3 or 8x). So you’ve got a very clear 8-16x multiplier statement (we stay conservative on vsbw so we went 8x). And then Sarada is shown to be likely correct given they do make leaps in strength. Thus there’s preponderance for her goal (getting 8x stronger) being achieved. You need to provide refutation for the interpretation that she’s just waffling being more likely than the other. Which you just haven’t done and instead are just coping about it.

Characters are vessels for the authors to convey info, and while they can certainly be wrong, she knows her strength and makes it known this increase is a necessity. Then when they do get stronger like she said, it adds credence to her claim. That’s why it’s likely. Also you need to provide actual reasoning for it being waffling. You’re just asking “why” and when presented with the “why” you don’t refute it
