I mean, isnt Mysterio a glass cannon? He doesnt even have any meaningful way to harm Emerald, his 8-A stuff is only environmental damage. Plus Emerald has senses that would greatly help her detect Mysterio if he tries to cloak himself, and if she pushes her semblance a bit she doesnt even need to see her opponent to affect them.

Mysterio can't actually hurt her because that 8-A shit was like very specifically place seismic fuckery. His actual method of attacking people isn't using that and is using the Illusion Drones or his handgun which can't damage her at all.

Comic Mysterio possesses a Sonar in his helmet that allows him to see through visual illusions, meaning causing him to hallucinate won't hinder him as much as one might think. Though it would be unlikely for her to find the real Mysterio in the first place, considering that it's entirely in character for Mysterio to create dozens of illusionary clones of himself to make his real body nearly impossible to detect.

Meanwhile, all Mysterio needs to do is speak to her in order to manipulate her mind. I don't think she has any real counter to Mysterio just hypnotizing her into thinking she was erased from existence, and then just dousing her with any of the tons of hallucinogenic or knockout gases that he regularly keeps on his person.
