Multiversal Mayhem Chapter 4: Party Time

"Whatever. Anyways.. ugh..."

I look around for something to buy for his trouble, realize I don't have any money, then just step back for the others to buy stuff

 

[Overlord775]

"Are you interested in to do something while we wait for the others to come back ?"

I ask Alex

 

[WHYNAUT]

"What do you have in mind?" I respond.

 

[Overlord775]

"Nothing, i was hoping you would have had some ideas on what to do."

I then grab the portal gun and take a closer look at it

 

[Torlikoff]

There is a small screen on it with left and right arrows.

 

[DragonEmperor23]

"Do you have any recent newspapers?"

I ask in English this time.

 

[Torlikoff]

"Yes, we do have some lovely American newspapers in this lovely American country." He says, pointing to a corner.

 

[Overlord775]

I press the right arrow

 

[Torlikoff]

A number on the screen changes, a little preview of some bizarre place is shown with it.

 

[Overlord775]

[Could you describe better the preview ?]

 

[DragonEmperor23]

I pick up a newspapers and try reading the front page.

 

[Torlikoff]

It's still in japanese, but some subtitles appear over it when you try reading it.

@Overlord It's a vague mismash of colors that's not very comprehensible.

 

[WHYNAUT]

I look over Ashley's shoulder at the portal gun.

 

[Overlord775]

I click the right arrow again

 

[DragonEmperor23]

I read the subtitles.

 

[Torlikoff]

@Overlord The number goes up by one and you see a picture of a sort of beetle on an arrow

@Dragon It's usual news stuff; weather, politics, crime rates, the highest murder rate in the world recorded in Utah, all that stuff.

 

[DragonEmperor23]

'Hmmmm.

I tap Keane on the shoulder.

"Everything looks normal."

 

[Overlord775]

[@Dragon You went to the shop to buy a map

Do it ]

 

[DragonEmperor23]

I turn to the shopkeeper.

"Do you have any maps?"

 

[Torlikoff]

"Why yes, we do have maps of the country of America in this american shop that is certainly America."

 

[DragonEmperor23]

"Okay, can you point me to them?"

I think something might be wrong here.

 

[Torlikoff]

He points to a map of Japan. "They're one dollar each."

 

[Overlord775]

I press the right arrow yet again

 

[DragonEmperor23]

I pull out my wallet and take out two dollars. "I'd like two, thank you."

 

[Torlikoff]

@Overlord The next thing on the screen is a bomb of some sort

@Dragon He takes the money. "Have a lovely day!" He says

 

[DragonEmperor23]

I turn to Keane. "All right, I got the maps, let's go."

 

[DMUA]

Walk outside

"Is it me, or did we just basically enter an anime?"

 

[DragonEmperor23]

"Eh, not enough ecchi to be an anime. Maybe a book or movie."

 

[DMUA]

"I mean, I didn't say it was a bad anime at any point. It's just... That guy was saying stuff but his lips were way off sync. And, that newspaper had subtitles. Something's really fishy."

 

[Overlord775]

I look at the icon, then look at Alex.

"I think we should go to this universe next, do you agree ?"

I ask him

 

[WHYNAUT]

I sigh "I guess so"

 

[DragonEmperor23]

"Oh, like that. Yeah, that's really wierd."

 

[Overlord775]

"Anyway, you mentioned before you were hungry, so what would you like to eat ?"

I ask Alex

 

[WHYNAUT]

"Let's just search for a cafeteria"

 

[Overlord775]

"Sounds good to me"

 

[Overlord775]

• More time passes

"They are taking way too long to come back, we should go search for them."

I say to Alex

 

[WHYNAUT]

I simply nod.

 

[Overlord775]

I nod too.

I then exit the alley and look around, spotting Cress and Kaene, who are right outside a shop.

I go towards them

"Why were you taking so long ?"

I ask to the two

 

[WHYNAUT]

I follow right behind Ashley.

 

[DragonEmperor23]

"Time is just a matter of perspective. I have the maps."

I pull out the maps and give one to Ashley.
