Yamamoto needs to have Sleep Manipulation added to his abilities on his profile.
In Chapter 224 we see Yamamoto put Momo to sleep using a kido.
In the Unmasked Data book the ability used by him is said to be a kido named 'Inemuri' and is meant to put people to sleep
Translation for the databook:
威眠 (いねむり) Inemuri - majestic sleep. Used to put Momo to sleep.
