Metal Gear Discussion Thread

@Baken384 attempt to emulate MGS4 or else the EMP crt is dropping before the Class G Plat revisions
Is it tho, all I have left is fate slop and Stand NPI. If I no life it that could be done in 4 days.

I'm not gonna tho, at all, I'll probably get distracted, forget what I was doing, and come back to it in a eon and go "damn idk what I was doing last", because that happens all the time, but ya know. Could, hypothetically.

I also keep forgetting to calc the Metallic Archea feat, even though I have the footage on my PC somewhere and have for 6 months, and every time I remember to do it, I'm always in the shower but by the time I get out I fruget.

Yes
and every time I remember to do it, I'm always in the shower but by the time I get out I fruget.
:flopgeta:

Or... you could wait like everyone else is?
ok, also can someone please provide me where the statement comes from: https://metalgear.fandom.com/wiki/Rail_gun#Behind_the_scenes

Imagining the warhead to weigh 862 kilos[8](the size of a Mark 23 nuclear gun round for a 16" / 50 Calibre Mark 7 battleship gun), it would have 16,016 megajoules of kinetic energy at launch. Since no machine is 100% efficient and most are nothing like this, it would not be exaggerating to imagine the rail gun's wasted energy (in the form of recoil, heat and mechanical deformation of the rails) would be the same amount of energy again, meaning the heat energy emitted by REX on firing would be the equivalent of the detonation of about four tons of TNT. This and the superheated trail caused by the round's passage through the atmosphere would mean a Metal Gear firing its main weapon would be easily detectable by existing systems designed to spot ICBM launches.

I feel like that comes from an assumption they made themselves?

Alright, I've revised it, it is slightly more impactful at around 2.01 kilotons of TNT.

I'm still trynna convince them that the other calc is not violating KE rules (due it not being projectile at speed and the destruction happening underground), also I've made a MASSIVE redux on it, the yield is approximately 1.93 gigatons of TNT which is just High 7-A and not ******* 6-A.

Wait a minute do I have to do the warhead + the missile or no?

Also, I've noticed that the blade is durable enough to cut an object that should normally release 69.17 megatons of TNT, so the HF blade's durability is 69.17 megatons (using APC mass 25.2 tons and calculated speed, given they cut object casually and no KE rules are violated)

Armstrong casually snaps it with his finger, which should x8 him to 553.36 megatons

That's not how it works unfortunately you need a outright stated multiplier to do that

...Is that the multiplier for one-shotting in versus matches? You should know that only applies to versus matches in this forum and cannot be used anywhere else.

Only in vs matches not for in universe one shots

Nvm I read it.

Yeah, I don't understand why it is calc-stacking but ok.

Well, he already has a higher AP which I'm currently discussing with others after reducing it although that is his rather FP (Full-Power) striking power (First guy wanted to go home and the other guy's a bit too late, we're working on it)

Hey guys, the feat where Raiden cuts up a boxer gave me an idea.

In the accepted calc where we calculated Blade Mode's speed, we can use it to evaluate Raiden's striking strength against the CNT helicopter in a similar fashion

Does anyone notice how The Sorrow can move clouds at high speeds in his boss fight? Would it count for anything regarding his stats?

Hypothetically, if it gets calculated and doesnt end up freakishly high, maybe it could count towards Psycho Mantis' statement of being above those who can cause natural disasters?

Looking back on the Gekko arguments, Old Snake would only downscale from 1/4 of Raiden's feat (i think) due to tripping Gekko on barrels (which doesn't damage them i think), with 4 of them being able to restrain Raiden. That would be 8-B at 39.195 tons. It could justify how Snake doesn't get one shot by Vamp and how he can only handle him in his weakened state. Oh, and also being able to survive kicks from Gekkos too.

Or I'm just spouting a bunch of BS and that is just not how that works at all.

I mean characters can always face off against bosses that are stronger/can one-shot them and still win, Vamp is stronger but Snake still gaps in many other aspects

Snake simply knocks them over, usually by surprise, he isn't overpowering them at all. Snake would need to act against a Gekko's whole body actively trying to apply force to scale to 1/4th Raiden. Otherwise all Snake actually has to do, is exert enough force to topple their mass, which is a few tons.

The urge to fix the blatantly bad travel speed ratings for the profiles but I can't cause Chariot can't get a USP or smth
