Okay since SBA, both characters are at 4km.
Issei uses Boost on his flames and burns Meliodas to ashes. The flames would burn Mel before he would be able to react since Boost makes them faster as well.
Blazing Inferno of Scorching Flames: Issei breathes flames that can never be extinguished and will continuously burn until the target is reduced to ashes or disintegrated. It is able to engulf an entire island.

A demon like Monspiet was able to eat Estarossa's hellfire without any problem. AM Mel is a demon well above Monspiets pecking order and he is a master user of hellfire as well.

Yes, because the explanation was clearly one appealing to Monspiets Demon heritage and skill with the fire, the direct inference being Demon skilled enough as Monspiet would also have similar resistance.Meliodas also being capable of casually tanking a blast from Monspiet before he even reach his 60k+ form, which is leagues below Assault Mode Mel.DragonEmperor23 said:

I voted for Issei too.
It's been a long time since I read DxD, so I do not remember everything, but it seems like the hax of DxDverse is too much for this version of Melioda,we should have expected him to turn in Demon King or use his father with that OP magic!

In near future Ise became strong enough to defeat characters that could manipulate concept of existance, influens on himself in parallel univers, manipulate time and use reincarnation tehniques. So DxD obvious more haxed vers than NNT

Full counter is actually rather useless. Any attack he bounces back, Issei can just Divide into uselessness or Reflect right back at him like a pin pon match. Without mentioning using multiple wyverns to reflect him from odd angles while battling him more up close.

It's Chandler Meliodas? No. Chandler does a lot of stuff Meliodas obviously doesn't.

This matters why? He's his master yes, doesn't change the fact they don't battle the same way.
Or that Meliodas plays around with people, or that he has only used Vanish once and this ain't bloodlusted, or that Issei can ping pong his blasts around, or, etc etc.

That's superficial reasoning at best. Chandler was hurried trying to catch Meliodas, it'd be hilarious to think he would need that much power to beat them both.
A skill advantage doesn't change being able to ping pong his attacks back, being able to halve his power, being able to summon Ddraig for extra help and turning it into 2 v 1, the Blazing Inferno flames, etc.

You can win almost every sports game if you are more skilled than your opponent hence why Meliodas can outskilled him in ping pong match
if meliodas approaches issei , pretty sure he will not let issei Shoot anything and outskilled him the battle is not just having more fire power and number skill plays important role in battle
