Mega Pokémon buff

It is stated that every non-legendary mega Pokémon is around the same level of power (high 7-A), but they should be buffed to at least 5-B. Red from Pokémon origins is stated as 5-B because he defeated normal Mewtwo who is 5-B with a mega Charizard X. I think every non-legendary mega should be buffed to 5-B, because if they are all on the same level, then that means a mega Blastoise or a mega Pidgeot is capable of beating regular Mewtwo as well.

If this is the case then that Mega Charizard X beating Mewtwo is an outlier.

Well at least Charizard should be buffed and all mega Pokémons have similar stats and you should watch Pokémon origins if you want to know what I mean. Even regular Charizard should be 6-B, because he defeated Articuno.

It's much more likely that Red's Charizard is above others due to being, well, RED's Charizard. Even ignoring the fact that it's an outlier anyway.

@lap Is it really stated that "every non-legendary mega Pokémon is around the same level of power"? That seems like something I would put on the profiles.

And ash's charizard defeated Articuno who is low 6-B and I am pretty sure Ash's charizard is among the weaker one's, because he doesn't have mega evolution and still defeated Articuno

I compared stats and almost every mega Pokémon has greater stats than normal Mewtow.
First, stats aren't canon, unless you say Goodra is stronger than Registeel and Suicune or Lugia is as strong as Palkia.

Second, your statement is wrong, only the mega evolutions of pseudo-legendary pokemon, Latios, Latias, Magearna and Rayquaza surpass Base Mewtwo in stats.

More specific:

M-Zard X = 634

Mewtwo = 680

But, seriously high 7-A is to low. He should be at least low 6-B because he defeated Articuno in the anime (normal Charizard defeated him)

When are the stats implied to not be cannon?

Stats aren't really canon I think, because I defeated Arceus who is 2-B with a level 1 Magikarp (moves: Splash, tackle, endeavor and quick attack) I know he can't learn those moves, but I modified them. Arceus then used judgement, but my Magikarp had a focus sash. I then used Endeavour followed by a quick attack and defeated Arceus. Does that mean my modified level 1 Magikarp is 2-B?

@Havo

That was Ash's Charizard who beat Articuno. The same one that fought against Entei, and the guy who's Pikachu beat a Latios. His team is full of outliers, and even not, that should only count for him, since he's a much better trainer than most people give him credit for.

@TGOP

Stats aren't really canon because of a little thing called Game Mechanics. They could serve as a baseline for determining stats, sure, but overall it's the feats they've shown that determine how powerful they are.

Well low 6-B is Maybe low as well. Ash should be high 6-A, because his Pikachu defeated Regice who is high 6-A.

I don't think Ash defeating legendaries are outliers. If that is so, then Red from origins should have also been an outlier because Charizard defeated Mewtwo. Ash just trained his Pokémon very well.

You are using hax to make that win possible. The quick attack could be 2-B, but it's the game not letting it deal 0 damage.
