MCU Thanos the New Darth Vader?

So, I remember a while ago the Russo Brothers said they were making Thanos out to be the Darth Vader of this Generation.

So I have 2 questions:

1.)Given everything we Have seen regarding Thanos (His Cameos, Movies, looming presence in MCU)how would you say Thanos stacks up to Vader currently and do you think his Legacy will grow to Vader's extent when MCU is as old as the current Star Wars Brand.

2.)Do you think the Russo Brothers Delivered on that statement of making Thanos the Darth Vader of this new generation? If not, how come?

vader is the emperors toy, thanos is the emperor. they are clearly different. vader is almost like gamora's sister, but less emotions lol
