MCU Phase 5 General Discussion Thread

I find something rather hilarious about the fact that the Shakespearean book adaptation of The Avengers, of all things, apparantly puts a weakened Thor at Low 6-B (I highly doubt this could actually be used for an upgrade, I just think it's funny):

The normal Thor novel already has thor shake Jotunheim which is larger then earth I believe

A standard Pre-Awakening Thor shook Jotunheim (which he is already 6-B for), not a weakened/Avengers 1 Thor, who is currently 'At least 7-A, likely 6-C' in that key.

Y’all seen the leaks for Daredevil Born Again? His new suit looks like ASS and Bullseye’s suit looks like someone invited Gi Joe to the MCU

Except that it looks cheap, idk, lacking the bullseye on the forehead, looks like a pijama.

I saw the photos and without the logo on his head he looks like he’s wearing a party city costume lol. Daredevils new suit would also be way better if it had the DD logo, I’m guessing if this show follows the usual Disney+ format he’s gonna have to “earn” it by the end of the season smh.

The Netflix shows already made me get used to the idea of new suits getting "earned" by the end of a season. They did that with Daredevil, and then the Punisher got to do it twice!
I was hoping by now we’d have moved past the need for having to wait a whole season for what we should have had since the beginning lol

Pretty mixed on these designs, kinda in-line with how most of the Netflix suits looked but that's not exactly a compliment

I’m gonna be honest: Both of these suits sucks. If there’s one thing I absolutely despise in the Defenders era are the suits.

Daredevil suit is not a DAREDEVIL suit. Aside from the horns you can’t tell who the **** is that. This suit lacks visual identity. Spider-Man had a lot of suits and none of them lacked visual identity, since 2002 you know who he is by looking at specific parts of his suit. Gloves, boots, chest, face, YOU KNOW who he is. Same for Batman. Hell, exclude the S in Superman’s chest and you know who he is by his ******* >>hair<<.

Bullseye’s one looks like a lot of things thrown together, I really hope this is not the final product and hopefully with all the negative feedback they change it.

Imagine you crafting a costume to you on your tv show and then keeping the character away from it as much as you can.

They avoided Daredevil using his costume like a plague.

I don’t think daredevils suit is quite at the level of ass, but bullseyes is just dumb looking

Daredevil looks passable. Bullseye looks like literally any pseudo paramillitary/vigilante like costume in any random series. Even the worst costumes from Arrow have more of an identity

Looks like the MCU Disney+ timeline will be getting updated for the Netflix shows to be broken up by season, so comparing it to the timeline book:
  • Daredevil season 1 and Jessica Jones season 1 both occur between Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (Fall 2014) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (Spring 2015)
  • Daredevil season 2, Luke Cage season 1, Iron Fist season 1, and The Defenders are all placed between Ant-Man (Summer 2015) and Captain America: Civil War (Spring 2016)
  • The Punisher season 1 is placed between Spider-Man: Homecoming (Fall 2016) and Doctor Strange (most of which occurs somewhere in 2017)
  • Jessica Jones season 2, Luke Cage season 2, Iron Fist season 2, and Daredevil season 3 are placed between Doctor Strange (2017) and Thor: Ragnarok (Fall 2017)
  • The Punisher season 2 and Jessica Jones season 3 both take place between Thor: Ragnarok (Fall 2017) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (Spring 2018)

It looks like there's a new statement from The Marvels VFX supervisor Tara DeMarco that further supports Captain Marvel's Low 4-C peak level of power not scaling to anyone from previous movies:

"We wanted Carol to be familiar to the audience in every way. She has her photon fist, her binary effect. And in this film, we wanted her to grow hotter than ever before because in the finale of our film, she restarts a sun."

⚡️Thor still stomps ⚡😎

Btw, is there a Marvel coming out soon? I'm in desperate need for a new super-hero game but there's nothing new right now

Not marvel, but the suicide squad game recently dropped. Spiderman 2 is also gonna get a new game+ update and there's rumors of potential dlc.

In the long term there's Insomniac's wolverine but that isnt set for release until 2025

I said super hero games, not Borderlands x Fortnite live service looter mix with garbage plot that ***** on one of the best video games sagas ever made and everything that was done in the previous games and totally disrespects one of the best superheroes and the rest of the characters it features and is a disgrace to the Arkham saga

Bruh, I can't wait for Wolverine

Spider-Man was good, maybe not as memorable as the first

Kill the Justice League has a few gameplay issue, but it a decent shooter (Even though some of the character shouldn't have guns) wish it wasn't live service though. Honest to god though, I've been having fun with it cause it is funny as ****. Love Boomer and Shark

Also both games have really fun open traversal

Is that what it's officially called?

Allioth is going to wreck shop.

I have to assume this takes place before Loki Season 2. Unless Tom didn't get the memo about pruning.

So the TVA can travel across the multiverse where it's not necessarily MCU related, that's interesting as I didn't catch up with Season 2 of Loki
