MCU Phase 4 General Discussion Thread

Inb4 the explanation for Ego not being like the other Celestials is some sort of birth defect thing. Either its that, or Ego was just lying to sound cool.
Maybe. I mean, at the very least, we know he isn't lying about the immortality part since it's the basis of his entire plan. Maybe he came from a planet that was damaged enough to make him really weird by Celestial standards but sill complete enough to give birth

You know what? I'm thinking about all those MCU years back to 2008 and all those villains in the MCU (barring Infinity Ultron, Dormammu and maybe Thanos and Malekith) who wanted to conquer the Earth or Ego assimilating the universe. Then I think about Arishem and I realize the absurd difference in scope and power. Like now, for every new MCU movie, I won't be able to stop myself thinking about how the villains are absolutely ridiculous in ambitions and dangerosity when the literal creator of existence is casually crossing the universe creating suns and galaxies like it's nothing

My biggest concern with the celestial is if there are seperate Celestial per timeline or if they exist in higher planes we didn't really get into detail on that we just know they predate the mainline universe and nothing of where they actually exist themselves hell even Arishem just pops into existence at the end like he just teleported across the universe to earth

Yeah, that's the "concern". The movie says nothing about it, except Arishem was like the only thing in existence before existence itself long before the multiversial war and even the multiverse itsel. Kind of reminds me of Chaos/Khaos from Greek Mythology. He simply...appeared from absolutely nowhere and starting creating stuff. Would love it if it was confirmed Celestials are unique beings for the entire multiverse

Charlie Cox confirmed?

And also what Andrew and Tobey doing there with Tom 🧐

Oh wait... On the topic of Knull in the MCU, I just remembered that Knowhere is already an established thing in the MCU. In the comics Knowhere was the decapitated head of the first Celestial Knull killed in retaliation for the Celestials ruining Knull's void.
Well, in the MCU, Arishem is the first Celestial so at least that will be changed (assuming Knull ever appears in the MCU)
