As far as I can tell, it seems like the Iron Man Mark VII comic was done by Fred Van Lente, who wrote both "official tie-in" comics (The Avengers Prelude: Black Widow Strikes and Captain America: First Vengeance), as well as "inspired" comics (The Avengers: The Avengers Initiative, Captain America & Thor: Avengers! and Captain America: Homecoming) Unlike those, the Mark VII comic mostly just seems to recap events from the Iron Man movies.
okayy so if its just a recap of those movies would it still be safe to be used? like the omnibus is a lil confusing since like u mentioned how the gotg prelude isnt considered as canon despite being in it so idk if the iron man comic wouldnt be considered as canon just bc its not included in it

So has this revision thread been rejected then?

Thank you for helping out btw. 🙏

ya i think its rejected

like based on lephyr’s and dinobot’s comments, the scans used for iron man’s lasers & odin’s thing could still be safe to use as long as it’s accurate/similar to the movies & that there’s nothing out there that renders it non canon

the omnibus is ick too so that probably shouldnt be used to say if the comics are canon or not

and also like the tweet from the will pilgrim guy doesnt specifically mention the names of the comics that he said were ‘inspired by’ so we dont know if it was related to the iron man & thor comics and if they would be inspired/non canon
Thank you for helping out btw. 🙏

If we don't have an official term, or indication that this comic was rendered non canon, I think it should be used still.
I disagree. If a later policy states that there's a new classification and those weren't included in that new classification I don't see them being useable.

One person expressing disagreement isn't rejection.

But that's the point. This isn't an official policy, it's a twitter statement to a comment we can't even see. And for the comics that are brought up as official, it includes non canon stuff outright. There's nothing to go off here.

Looking into it, it seems like both of the original questions have been deleted or hidden. So even assuming correct WoG, without knowing the list or the reference point it isn't useable per our lost media rules iirc.

So until proven what the original question was I agree with your stance.

So should we close this thread then?
