If Superboy is as strong as Superman with the Kryptonian shields, he should be at least Island Level+, Superman was capable of withstanding this explosio while only being knocked unconscious, Wonder Woman stated that he would be fine, indicating that such a blast wasn't even life threatening to him. To top it off, not even his cape was scratched from such a blast. This might be an Outlier, but I don't see why it would be.

Unfortunately it's not even an outlier, it's flat out a misconception. If you look closely at the video linked, at about 0:39 you can see that not only is the island at the center of the explosion still there, even the small mountain the explosion originated inside of is still standing.

I don't think you can call it an island level explosion if it can't even destroy a small mountain located literally right on top of it. At any rate, the island still being completely untouched after that explosion definitely raises a lot of questions about the reliability of this feat.

EDIT: You can't see the mountain in the fire, sorry, but I seem to remember the mountain being shown later on, possibly in the same episode. I'd have to watch the episode again.

Possibly, but the island not being yeeted is still a reliability problem for this feat.

However, there's a second feat involving the same type of bomb, which ends up basically completely flattening the mountain the YJ were using as a base. I think that much more straightforward feat would be better used to scale to Supes' durability here, instead of using this feat which is kind of contradictory in its depiction.

This Dragon Ball feat is very similar this.

The exolosion was big,it is low 6-B,it didn't destroy the Island and people that hid behind it in a small pit.Yet its still accepted and used.

Since this thread is a Superboy upgrade, I wanted to ask why his durability isn't High 8C? Despero hit him several times in their 'fight'
