> Shouldn't Twice's calc use the fighter pilot FPS instead of average human? He was casually reacting to and destroying Todoroki's attacks, so if Base Deku has that assumption, he should too.

"Casually"? I don't recall Twice being super laid-back about it.

We really shouldn't be using the fighter pilot FPS figure.

Would "easily" be a better word for it then? He was prancing and flipping around Todoroki's attacks like they were nothing to him.

Idk how this perception speed stuff goes so I don't really have an opinion on whether it should be used or not, just that Twice should have the same if not better perception speed than base Deku.

What are the summarised conclusions here?

So far the only solid conclusion I'm aware of so far is to remove Tenya Iida's Hypersonic/ High Hypersonic speed calc and re-adjust the scaling of the characters.

Bump

Ok I'm just gonna state the characters I believe require a speed upgrade along with reasoning

Todoroki: supersonic+ combat speed, higher reaction speed reacted to Iida's Recipro Burst

Current Bakugo: scales to 5% Deku

Endeavour: far faster than 8% Deku

Hawks: faster than Endeavour

Stain: scales to 5% Deku

Tomura: reacted to a serious Gran Torino (his speed should be at least supersonic+

Twice: reacted to Todoroki's ice attack

Aizawa: easily restrained Todoroki and dodged him

Mr Compress: reacted to Todoroki's ice attack

Muscular: kept up with 5% Deku

Moonfish: pressured Todoroki

Toga: kept up with Aizawa

Tiger: dodged 5% Deku

Magne: fought Tiger evenly

Amajiki: superior to 8% Deku

Nejire: superior to 8% Deku

Chisaki's attack speed: 20% Deku states he can't dodge all his attacks and implies he's actually relying on gauging how long it takes the attacks to come

Mirio: his reaction speed should be upgraded since he could react to Chisaki's attacks with his Quirk

Dabi: could deal with the liberation army who have members that can react to Toga, he also stalemated Geten who is one of the MLA's strongest members (based on feats is the second strongest)

Gang Orca: reacted to Deku and Todoroki's attacks

Knuckleduster: kept up with Aizawa

> Tomura: reacted to a serious Gran Torino

He did? When?

Also, why does Todoroki have higher reaction speed for reacting to Iida's Recipro Burst?

I'm not comfortable with all of them.

Where does Amajaki and Nejire being superior to 8% Deku come from?

Fatgum stating that Amajiki is stronger than everyone in the raid squad (except Mirio who wasn't there), both are also members of the Big 3 and considering Bakugo is stated to be pro level by the sports festival Amajiki and Nejire should be at least stronger than that

I have no problems. Also from today's chapter isn't Bakugo faster than 8% Deku seeing how he could reach ending save Natsuo and then go back before Todoroki could even hit ending and Todoroki is nearly comparable to 8% Deku ? This would only work with compression though.

I have to unsubscribe to this thread due to time constraints. You can send me a message later if you need my help after you reach a conclusion.

Perhaps Bakugo has gotten significantly faster since he fought Deku at the end of season 3?

I have come back to life and applied the accepted changes (removing Iida's calc), now we have to talk about Nighteye's calc update.

Twice obviously has superhuman speed as he can react to Todoroki's ice, so it should be fine to use the perception speed of Fighter pilots.

Nighteye's Throwing Speed = 13.746685695/0.00454545454 = 3024.27 m/s, Mach 8.82 (Hypersonic)

Now this should probably only scale to his reactions and combat speed.

Also should enji be faster then even deku when he is full cowl as shoto, bakugo and deku were behind endeavor in like all of their training, trying to catch up

Yes Endeavour should definitely be faster based on his showings we could potentially scale him to Nighteye but I feel Hawks should definitely scale due to his speed but now what about the 20% Deku calc

Throw the whole calc away.

But seriously, I think the 20% calc needs to be revised or something. Nighteye being hypersonic makes a lot of sense considering casual Torino was the one with a Mach 3 feat, and Nighteye finds 8% Deku's speed, which is above 5% and casual Torino, to be pathetic.

I think we should avoid using the fighter pilot figure.

I don't recall Nighteye ever saying Deku's speed is pathetic. He had the advantage of future sight too remember.

Maybe not pathetic, but he did claim that Deku's speed itself was slow, so it's not just due to his foresight, hence why he calls him an inferior Gran Torino.

@Damage what's wrong with the fighter pilot figure? Also yeah hypersonic nighteye makes sense he could fight Overhaul for a time and 8% Deku is faster than 5% by a pretty big amount

Just because a character is faster than a real-life human (which is almost always the case in manga), doesn't mean we should treat their perception speed as being peak human without good reason.

Twice being able to keep up slightly with Shoto's ice isn't good enough by itself for me, since we don't know how fast the ice was that Shoto actually used against Twice at that time.

Personally I'd rather stick with the 13 ms figure for calcs that involve blitzing.

These characters have feats and statements to back up their perception speed being this high tho. They're not normal people with normal stats, they're super humans.

Shoto was attempting to save his friends and was in the middle of a group of villains right after having Bakugo got kidnapped. Are you saying he wasn't trying his hardest to help out his classmates?

Why does the fighter pilot number bother you so much? I would understand why you feel skeptical about it if there weren't so many clearly above subsonic characters, but there are, so what's the issue with assuming this number if Therefir thinks it's fine?

> These characters have feats and statements to back up their perception speed being this high tho.

What statements does Twice have?
