Watching a battle doesn't count for reaction speed
Even if the battle was happening at MHS speeds? Being able to see MHS characters should count as MHS reactions, right?
Oh, yeah... Something, even regular humans can watch the battle (something no, but normally yes)

They might be able to watch the battle, but not Raikiri or IR. Also, i don't think regular humans (or just weaker characters) being able to see tournament matches between way faster characters is usually taken seriously.

Wait, you were even talking about Lightspeed top tiers?
That's not really confirmed yet, but it's still a possibility. Still, i don't think anyone here plans on accepting lightspeed without proper evidence. I certainly don't. All info that we have on awakening comes from untranslated spoilers, so this verse is staying in the Supersonic to MHS range until the translations for Vols. 9 and 10 come out.

Lightspeed takes a bit of evidence besides statements so wait on that.

But yea, we can't really scale reaction speeds from ability to see a battle. Maybe they can barely see it. Maybe they can only notice the outcome. There is also frame of reference to consider, which is basically that I can see jets traveling the sky miles away but one close by would zoom past me without my notice at all.

"Did you see that, Nene?"

"Of course I saw that. Sheesh, what an outrageous man Kuro-bou is."

The two mage-knights looking down on the ring from the top floor of the spectator seats had noticed it. They had seen it with their own eyes.

Raikou and Raikiri. The thunder of two steel swords colliding, and the moment that happened.

―Ikki had accelerated even more.

"Ittou Shura, which spent everything of oneself in one minute, didn't win against Raikiri. Kurogane himself understood that. So that guy, he spent everything himself in one sword swing instead of one minute! With astounding concentration, he concentrated his 'strongest single minute', and magnified his physical strength in a many-fold leap, and added swing speed and power…!"

Doesn't sound like they barely managed to see it for me. There's also the powerscaling. Raikiri is based on Torajirou Nangou's own Noble Art, the Otogiri. Nangou is the teacher of both Nene and Touka, btw. He is also the oldest active Blazer in the world. Leaving that aside, Edelweiss is the strongest knight. Kurono used to be the third, but retired. Nene is the fourth. We don't know who the current third or the second one are, but they're certainly not Nangou. Magic only gets you so far against MHS attacks like this. Nangou (and by extension, Touka) would be waaaaay higher on the list if stronger characters didn't have MHS reactions.

Also, unrelated to these characters, but how fast are the reactions of someone that can react in 0.05 seconds?

Oh, you're saying for the high tiers. I thought you meant the low tiers.
MHS low tiers would be freaking insane. This ain't Dragon Ball, lol. I'm talking about giving MHS reactions to the top tiers.

@KaenDragneel That was just a comment on how DB is the only verse i know of where MHS characters are low-tier.

@Alakabamm So, is giving MHS reactions to the top tiers fine?

1. Define "Top Tiers"

2. As far as I know, DT told me that you can't powerscaling between characters without solid proofs

Top Tiers would be Kurono, Nene, Edelweiss, Nangou, and other characters on their level (even if no such character was introduced so far).

The solid proof would be the fact that they can, you know, react to MHS attacks.

Well, principal hotstuff did lose to Ikki in a pure swordsmanship match, can't say much for her reflexes if Ittou Shura wasn't used, "if".

How can she lose in a swordsmanship match.... if she uses guns? lol

All jokes aside, it was never mentioned how their fight played out. It was only mentioned that Kurono was handicapped, IIRC. This could mean anything from "not using her Noble Arts" to "not using magic" to "not using her device" to even "only fighting with her legs and holding back" (which is highly unlikely, but still possible).

I only read two names in that feat though

I only posted Kurono and Nene. Nangou was there too, and he also commented on the attacks.

Nene is ranked as the fourth strongest knight. Kurono used to be the third, but retired. So the current third is > Nene and unknown compared to Kurono. The second strongest is > the three of them. Edelweiss is > the second. The difference between Edelweiss and Kurono/Nene is so big that simply feeling Edelweiss's presence from a few kilometers aways is enough to make Kurono and Nene stop on their tracks out of fear. So she should logically scale.

I can provide quotes for all of that, btw.

I wasn't aware that the principal lost to him. If that is the case, has there ever been a time Ittou Rasetsu was used outside of this fight?

I see. My bad. I was mistaken in the duel between Kurono and Ikki. Still, it looks like Kuruno made it clear that she's Nene's superior.

"How about a special lesson tonight in my room―"

"You bitch, what are you doing to my student?"

A threatening voice came from over Saikyou's head. Its owner was a scowling woman in a suit, the board chairman Kurono Shinguuji.

"Whoa, what a surprise! Stop it, Kuu-chan, standing behind me so suddenly. I might've killed you before I realized who it was."

"Could you kill me if you tried? Leaving that aside, what are you doing here? You were supposed to provide commentary and supervision in the fourth training arena, right?"

"Ah, yeah, but the match was tiresome so I had some free time. I just came over a bit to inspect Kuu-chan's favorite, and maybe take the chance to pluck a flower."

"I-It's not like he's my favorite!"

Kurono seemed a little bit embarrassed as she struck the shorter Saikyou's whorl of hair with a thump, and Ikki averted his gaze from the unusual expression she made.

That was the first time Ittou Rasetsu was ever used. But, as i've already mentioned, the only thing we know about the match is that Kurono was holding back to an unknown degree and that Ikki managed to win. That's really not enough for powerscaling.

@Gemmysaur Well, Kurono was third and Nene is fourth, so of course she's superior (probably only due to time hax though).

@KaenDragneel Wait a bit. I'm alternating between this thread and adding some major stuff to a profile, so getting quotes will take a while.

profile from this verse?

Nope. It's Negi Springfield's profile, from Negima. I don't think anyone on this site has read it besides me, considering how much stuff was wrong or missing in that profile before i started editing it.

Alakabamm said:
Negima? I've read it. I just didn't do the profiles.
I also read UQ Holder somewhat.
Now that is definately good to hear. Adding every single relevant spell to his profile by myself would be annoying. Can you help me with that later?

I'm up to date with UQ Holder, but it hasn't reached Negima when it comes to quality yet, imo. It's getting pretty good though.

@KaenDragneel Okay, so here are the quotes:

For Nene and Kurono:

For Nangou:

"But that's just an ordinary mechanism. The result of the battle was decided by something else, you know."

"Nangou-sensei…."

"Geezer, what are you saying?"

"The Raikiri that Touka unleashed. That was a slash that didn't have the resolve to kill that Kurogane youngster. What I saw was the highest, most beautiful sword stroke without a hint of hesitation. And that, make no mistake, was faster than the youngster's long sword. But… that youngster. He improved in the instant of reaching his limit. In that last moment. In order to beat the stronger Touka. …Perhaps, that youngster came here to do that the entire, entire time. Having nothing, being given nothing, while constantly under siege he continued to believe in his own potential even in a struggle to the death. Continuing to hone himself. Faster than himself at one minute. Stronger than himself at one second. In that narrow span, that difference. Touka undoubtedly drew strength to her limit. But that youngster, in this battle, had changed his own limit. …His spirit in continuing to change his own potential without slacking off, this victory was born of that."

Edelweiss scares the crap out of Kurono and Nene from a few kilometers away:

"Well, at any rate, once we get there everything will become clear. So for that reason―"

As quickly as possible. At those words, they put even more strength into their legs. …At that moment. Faster than a second, a sudden gust struck their bodies and brought them to a half.

―In fact, no wind was blowing on them. The sea was also calm.

However, on the expressions on the two world-class knights, trembles of obvious dismay were spreading. Their legs were shaking, and their brows were sweating unnaturally.

Yes... what stopped their legs wasn't the wind. It was an aberrant sword spirit that could be felt from a long distance away. To the point where the ground in front of them was going blurry in their eyes, as if a drawn sword was pressed to their throats. The two were both superior knights, but they could feel it and it paralyzed them.

―Going toward that was dangerous. At that instinctive warning, the two had stopped running.

"Th-The sword spirit… just now… it can't be…."

"H-Hey hey hey. Are you kidding? Our attackers have someone outrageous mixed among them…!"

The two knew. This unusual sword spirit. Only one person in the world could exert this kind of pressure.

"The sword spirit lasted only a moment. Was it to intimidate? …Let's hurry, Nene!"

"Y-Yeah!"

With their faces pale, and ignoring the effort of starting up their bodies again, they raced toward Tokyo at the utmost speed.

So, yeah. Is this enough?

Made a page for Nene. Also updated Edelweiss's reactions to MHS.

@KaenDragneel What do you mean? Stella is the only one that is not up to date with the translations, and the only thing missing is Bahamut Soul (because i'm lazy).

Also, a bit of misc. info regarding Stella's family: According to the Rakudai wiki, Stella's father is named Sirius Vermillion, her mother is named Astrea Vermillion and her older sister is named Lunaeyes Vermillion. Literally everyone on her family sounds like a badass, lmao. Now i want them all to be high ranking Blazers. You don't give someone names like that and just have them not do anything awesome.
