Another vantages:

Reliable recovery, can reduce Juvia's Speed, attacks and defenses. Can put Juvia to Sleep, Precog, homing attack via Swift and Glaceon can amp his own Attack and Defense, can avoid counter attacks easily. You can count walking on water an advantage or no. Hail amps her Range, Evasion by 2, give him a passive heal, and there is a chance o Juvia attacks and herself to freeze if she touchs Glaceon

@Henry hmm, water claw sounds similar to aqua tail in terms of how it's done, so I think barrier may come in handy there. Water Slicer would probably count as special

Most of Juvia attacks count as special, so Mirror Coat is also another advantage in form of attack reflection

It is not once implied that Glaceon has to lower its body temperature over time, hell even in the statements that it is said to lower its body temperature its stated to do so mid-combat as a response to attacks implying its instant
Pretty sure one of Glaceon's dex entries literally says its instantaneous too
WeeklyBattles

Im 99.99999% positive that any water attack Juvia tries to use, boiling or not, will be useless here, given that Glaceon passively freezes all water in its immediate surroundings to -75c. But, then again he said all water when it freezes the atmosphere.

I mean, for Captivate to work, Glaceon needs to be male, wich he have a chance of more than 80% to be male, so that shouldn't be a problem

Basically Glaceon leads with Hail, which gives two different evasion amps, constantly heals, gives better range, and makes it so the bread and butter techniques are far less likely to miss.

If Juvia tries to use water techniques they get frozen just by touching glaceon.

Icy Wind reduces speed, Tail Whip and Fake Tears reduces durability, Sand attack reduces accuracy, Baby Doll Eyes, Growl, and Charm reduces AP, Tickle lowers both AP and Dura, so Juvia's stats in general will be taking a massive hit in this fight.

Yawn puts Juvia to sleep

Wish heals Glaceon

Instinctive reactions via Detect

Have you ever gotten sand in your eyes? Its a super annoying and stings like hell.

Not imagine that but the second you do get rid of it someone throw another handful of sand into your eyes immediately after, and then again and again and again

Seeing as how Juvia has Water Body, she wouldn't be bother by sand in her eyes.

Does Glaceon have anything that can take out Juvia before Juvia just uses Water Lock want until it freeze solid and then cut it to pieces with Water Slicer/Water Jigsaw? Cause this is a DEATH BATTLE!

And that mean what exactly for being surrounded by water? Juvia will kill Glaceon and you want to know why? Because she will be going home to Gray and there is nothing this blue arctic fox can do to stop her.

I just realized that the only time Juvia has ever been frozen is by Gray. Can Glaceon kill Juvia before Juvia kills Glaceon, Detect only last for so long and the more you use it the more likely it is to miss, also Detect only affects the initial damage of Whirlpool and once you land it Detect will not cancel out the DoT of the move. I prefer to think of Water Lock like a giant PokeBall which detect doesn't effect.

Why would Detect not detect Water Lock?

BTW what does Juvia really starts with IC?
1st. Think of Water Lock as if it were Mean Look a move that isn't affected by Detect, in fact a lot of Status moves aren't affected by Detect

2nd. Basically everything.

Nah, Juvia has enough AP to defeat Glaceon that way
Doesn't Glaceon have the AP advantage though? And at best Juvia is 1.2x Glaceon which is an irrelevant difference. If that is really all she has going for her, this is a stomp.

A stomp would be if Juvia stood no chance whatsoever. Here she can win with AP, but it's very unlikely

@Gyro

The AP is almost non existent while Glacen passively freezes her. Thats a stomp.

Had the AP been x3 or even x2 then you'd have a potential argument but as is, no chance.

@Vel

That was a poor match up lol. Age scratch one shots pretty much every 3D mo

I don't think Glaceon can simply passively freeze Juvia, seeing as that's never happened in the anime/games.

Glaceon ca lower its body temperature to chill anything directly around it, but idk if -75 degrees would be enough to instantly freeze someone, let alone a 7-A

>Has presumably frozen other 7-A mons before

>This 7-A is pure water

>With an explicit weakness to being frozen

>Can only counter if she is bloodlusted

This match is fair?

How would I know? I am working off of the info given in this thread. Also where is this freezing stuff coming from then if Glaceon can't do it?

Pokedex entries, but they don't say Glaceon can freeze other fully evolved Pokemon.

Glaceon can freeze her opponent with moves like ice beam, but they have to hit first
