Ishtar downgrade

Ishtar's Venus NP only created a 2km deep crater in Uruk. i dont think she should be considered planet level. even from a lore standpoint it wouldnt make sense, if you look at the Alter Egos and Kiara.

anyway, that just goes to show that you shouldnt trust descriptions of physical damage when the word "conceptual" is thrown into the mix

@Embrace

Its firing the concept of the planet and it's making use of Ishtar's Authority as a Divine Spirit.

It would be downplay if it were anything else, given the power of other Divine Spirits in the series (i.e. Saver and Amaterasu).

You're also abusing the AoE fallacy.

true, i sort of forgot how AoE functions in regards to NPs. hers is just so weird compared to the rest and so underwhelming that i didnt think of it that way.

but she is nowhere near Budha or Amaterasu from a lore standpoint and if memory serves, she is one of the gods that makes up one of the alter egos

She's stated to have nearly absolute power over space-time on Earth in her Divine Spirit form but is limited by her vessel.

ishtar? can you please point me to that quote?

@Embrace

Divine Spirits in general are able to manipulate space-time and concepts at will:

"Authorities are special abilities that fall into a different category than Codecasts, Skills, and Noble Phantasms. An Authority is a power that is on the level of creating a world, and includes things like altering events, time-flow manipulation, and kingdom building. Authorities existed in the age known as the Age of Gods, which was about 6000 years ago, but after entering the Common Era human civilization advanced to the point where Authorities were no longer needed, and so Authorities became a relic of the past. Normal skills achieve a certain result based on some logical process or principle, but Authorities realize a result simply because the user has the right to do so. A God Spirit Class Servant should naturally possess Authorities, but to use them in the modern age requires a corresponding compensation to be paid (involving strain/damage inflicted on the user). In CCC the one who swallowed up Moon Cell has reached a level of power that is Authority class."

Ishtar is considered a high-tier goddess.

you meant that quote? yeah, i sort of stopped believing a lot of that when we realized that that was a generalization and that not all gods have the same authorities. for example, just because god A can raise the dead, that doesnt mean that god B can.

case in point, Quetz can raise the dead but other gods we have seen, like Ishtar, cant.

and nowadays, "high-tier" only seems to be stuff on the level of Tiamat or Amaterasu

@Embrace

Then you're disavowing the lore for your own headcanon.

Full-power Ishtar is actually powerful to pose a serious danger to Tiamat through Gugalanna, with Caster Gil being willing to swallow his pride just to have Gugalanna on his side. Ishtar is also one of the components of the Earth Mother Goddess that BB derives her powers from.

actual story events and feats >>>>>word of God, if the two happen to not be compatible.

and this aint me saying, this is FGO and other sources saying it. not all gods have the same authorities, even if they are of a similar level of strenght.

Gugalanna got killed by base Gil and base Enkidu. upgraded grail boosted enkidu wasnt much of a threat to Tiamat, who was killing herself at a massive rate, due to her motherly instincts and all Gil did when she was near death by her own actions was drive her back to the sea of imaginary numbers with enuma elish. Tiamat is very much still alive and kicking.

@Embracetophat

You're deliberately lying, you know that?

Gugalanna got beaten by full power Gil and Enkidu. The 5-A versions.

Tiamat is very much dead after Hassan put the concept of death on her.

Not really? I mean so far no NP in the Nasuverse has approached Planet level save for Goetia's AAS, which required a lot of time to prepare.
