How do we treath character with different builds???

Basically characters who can vary from different battle strategies to totally different haxes, depending on equipment or foccusing on different skills. Like terrarian who has 4 different builds (Melee, ranger, summoner, magic) but that is never taked into account in VS battling, it can also works for more VS variability of the same character and reduce stomps (like a guy who a specific build counters certain character, who normally he would get stomped by it)

So somebody like a Dark Souls character or a MOBA character? From what I remember, we put equipment that they've been shown to use in promotional material like box art and/or starting equipment (what they start the game with) as standard equipment. Everything they get after is in optional equipment. For things like spells, we put them in P&A and Notable Attacks/Techniques, but it should be noted that it's something they get at this point, etc.

In terms of VS threads, different builds can practically be treated in the same way as different keys or even different characters. You just need to add it in the further context and clarify what they have for that match. So for example, it'd look something like:

Jin Mori vs. the Ashen One
Ragnarok Arc Monkey King Mode Mori and End of Game Ashen One are used (High 4-C versions)
Ashen One has the Pyromancy Flame and Chaos Bed Vestiges, Great Chaos Fire Orb, Chaos Storm, and Fire Whip

So as long as you give enough context, then the match can go smoothly and possibly be added to the wiki's profiles. If what you made is a stomp, then that's too bad.

Yeah but in those cases the builds can vary from becoming pratically inmune to some characters main gimmick to just dying. But thanks i guess

Then it's your problem for using those builds in that match in the first place lmao. You should've known that it would lead to a stomp, so why did you even use it? Again, we essentially treat different builds as different characters with how different their abilities are

If you're worried about misrepresenting the character in the Notable Matches section, then the build should be specified like how optional equipment is specified for everybody else

Yeah but the character can change builds betwen figths (not very safe because losing a fuckton of defense and resistances, mid match is kinda a meh strategy) but thanks i guess

Again, it doesn't really matter much to us if it's in character or not out of character for them to switch builds. But np on answering your question
