Hot takes thread, safer edition

Speaking about Shounen, Im still waiting for one with a proper female protagonist. Just a proper fist to cuff, power escalating fprotagonist. And yes, i know Kill la Kill
Medaka? Jolyne? Maka Albarn? Yashahime? (Inuyasha sequel)
90s will always be the best period for anime. Imagine waking up on Saturdays to watch Yu Yu Hakusho. Damn, that feels good
And this is why the anime community splitted, 90's/00's elitist vs zoomer anime fans
And as enjoyer of both sides, this hurt lel

Okay this is a big big hot take imo

but when I had watched FMA and FMA:B, I could not understand what the hype was about.. AT ALL. I truly believe it's a good story and well written series, but I couldn't find anything standoutish about it that people kept considering it peak fiction or whatever. I really liked the power system, the characters, the antagonists, OPs/EDs, and enjoyed the aesthetics, but to me personally it did not stand out.

I even tried rewatching FMA:B like a few months ago and I couldn't bring myself to finish episode 1. But that might just be because I don't really watch anime anymore.. maybe I should try the manga.
Make it two, Donatello
Honestly FMA is way overpraised to the point it sickening me

Gacha games are both overhated and underhated at the same time.

People who blindly hate Gacha games for being mobile games and glorified lootboxes have never witnessed into the insane production value and care some of those games get. High profile gacha games are famous for their stellar story, worldbuilding, characters and soundtrack that can easily outperform tripple A games. Comparing them to lootboxes is disingenous, because Gacha games follow a semblance of clarity, in form of draw rates, and consumer protection, in form of pity systems. And most importantly, they dont have the audacity to ask you a tripple aaa title price on top of them.

Equally mindboggling and stupid is the glorification of gacha games and how unregulated they are. Gacha games are basically freely avaiable casinos directly on your phone. The only saving grace is that it can't fuel your addiction directly. Thank god waifu pngs dont pay out money. Gacha addicts getting defensive over people calling gacha gambling is the saddest thing I have seen in a long while.

tldr: Gacha games are perfectly valid and sometimes even really good games. Its still gambling, accept reality
TL;DR Gacha Games has way better story than your average anime/game story

Ed Sheeran at his peak was the best singer and songwriter in the world
Well, true
“Baby” by Justin Bieber is (just) listenable
Oh heck no it's trash just like the singer
Coldplay got better after “Viva La Vida”, they didn’t fall off at all
Coldplay was always better
BTS’ hits that have reached the west have been all hits no misses
Yeah thanks for those psychopathic fangirls over the world
The Weekend is mid
No comment, never heard it lel
Adele’s newest album won wayyyyy too many awards
Well she deserve it i guess
Music peaked in the 2010’s and fell off HARD in Late 2019-‘21, but is now slowly making a comeback
Really? Then again the music markets are still filled with mediocore hip hop and meaningliss rap (at least in the west, east or mainly japan are thriving like always)
Bruno Mars is mad underrated
F***ING BASED
Billie Eilish is a generational talent
Oh heck no

Gorillaz best albums for me where:
The Now Now
Song machine collaborations
and plastic beach

Now Now has humility, Tranz,Kansas,Lake zurich,Magic city, Fire flies and souk eye (My favorite) wich are all bangers.
Song machine has The lost chord (my favorite), Aries, Desolee, The pink phantom who are also extraordinary.
and Plastic beach has Empire ants and to binge(my favorites), Plastic beach,Rhinestone eyes, melancholy hill, stylo, broken.
Rock music is veryyy interesting.

I used to listen to rock a couple years ago but then just completely stopped for some reason, now it's kinda hard to get back into it again. I think it's completely mood dependent
EPIC! NIERRE! YOU GUYS ARE GOATED!!
PowerlessLawfulFunnelweaverspider-max-1mb.gif

As for Rock i absolutely related to what you said and honestly? Thats actually fine, because overhearing it might ruin your likeness to said rock (and even metal) songs
Heck last years i listened a lot to Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, or any of 70's to 00's Rock/Metal Bands but nowadays rarely listened to it
Anyway Nierre, let's us know your hot takes on Vocaloid

Oh also while I’m slipping into a music tangent

Mid 2000s to early 2010s has some of the most mid music period, mostly dominated by feel good party songs, bleghhh

I don't know if this is a hot take but well: we need more a crippled/disabled syndrome protagonist like if they can be done right then holy heck man....prime example is Johnny Joestar from JJBA

DmC: Devil May Cry is a good game. It's a bad DMC game, that's true. However, I definitely think it's over-hated. The plot twist with Vergil was kind of predictable but I still liked the ending. I heard people say the director of it wanted to make a sequel, but he was offered to either work on another game or DMC 5, he chose DMC 5. I definitely wouldn't mind a sequel for it, it being an AU world instead of a failed reboot sounds interesting. Dante's development in it was pretty good too.
Just saying but DmC: DMC is another timeline within the DMC multiverse. So it technically is Canon just like the other timeline Dante visits in Vol 2.

If anything they could make Dante met Donte by yeeting him mid novel again.

Are there any reliable sources that confirm DmC: Devil May Cry being canon to DMC's multiverse? Didn't even think they had one, apart from a 9D cosmology. That would be cool. 1-C Donte sounds fun. And would probably gain a lot of hax just by meeting Dante.

With the DMC guys we are trying to pin down the ps magazine where it was said.

Also Idk if he would scale or not? His timeline is greatly different from the OG or the one from the second novel.
