The battle with several of the royal guard was left with no genuine conclusion. The plot checked its watch and said "screw it", opened up Skyrim's console, clicked on all the other royal guards and typed "kill", leaving us all wondering what the hell happened, why all the bad guys suddenly dropped dead mid-battle.
It's not just Shunsui vs Lille,Mayuri vs Pernida is incredibly similar in Length and even the fight formula and events that happen during the fights.
But the important thing for this thread is, the player used the "kill" console command on Gerard after he was built up as a huge threat, leaving Kenpachi, Toshiro and Byakuya wondering what the hell just happened, and leaving readers highly disappointed. Hopefully the anime will remedy that.
