So like....

I was honestly rather curious about this, not only has Hazel shown to be the strongest 233 ton character in the show in one episode, but he was superior to someone (Tyrian) Who was said to hunt the spring Maiden, so I honestly am a bit curious here as to what happens, so let's see.

Hazel has his dust injections in at the start.

Hazel Rainart 3

Amber (RWBY)

Shit man I'm not good at being the one to provide the reasons everyone FRA's...

Amber has the range and versatility advantage. Hazel is a lot more experienced, he has better regen, and as you noted he's stronger-- especially since he has injections here. His immense pain tolerance, comparable speed, and-- IIRC-- much harder to bypass aura should help him tank enough hits to close the range gap.

Probably Hazel?

No.

It's an issue with a lot of people.

I'm not seeing Amber winning this. She struggled against Cinder, who at the time wasn't at her full potential as a Maiden. Hazel seems physically stronger, more experienced in battle, and I'd say he's more durable for his Aura and Semblance. Hazel could potentially beat Amber into submission if the latter's not careful, but this could be a tough fight.

She wasn't a Maide
Well, my point still stands that Cinder wasn't as strong at the time and was still able to do well against her. I'm sure Hazel is stronger than non-Maiden Cinder.

Hazel pretty much wins due to skill and higher AP. Amber's versatility just doesn't make up for her lack of skill against Hazel
