GoW 1 Kratos vs. MK11 Kotal Kahn (Equal Stats)

This is fun and games, and is not an official matchup. Just for fun.
Kratos- Kratos does not have the Amulet of Uroborus or the Soul of Hades

Kotal Kahn- Kotal's totems do not disappear, and can be infinitely stacked, Kotal is not limited by variations in relevance to summoning's.

Fight takes place in Kahn's Arena during the daytime

Equal Stats across the board.

Kotal seems to start with his physical strikes with stuff like his blade and his sickles or fists (Perhaps enhancing them with his magic or using Teleportation to bridge the gap) but it seems he will use his more impressive hax later on (With stuff like the Blood Kode and his more impressive usage of Sun Magic)

Hmm, so what I was aiming at with the thread was both characters are on par with equal stats, and it's a slugfest, and each character is capable of stat amp and such as well. Do you have any general win con's for both parties in mind?

Hmm

Neither seem to have any crazy BFR hax so it's fairly clearly just "Kill other guy"

I do think Kratos has so many more options for offense tho and he seems to be going for those more in character (To say nothing of stuff like his passive absorption with the Blades)

Just to note as well, kratos has teleportation as well with his clones.
Uhh

Isn't tnat for Ascension Kratos? Not GOW 1?

Yes, if it wasn't made clear Kratos would have all his powers and abilities with all his keys before GoW 1, that being Ascension and Chains. Only things he wouldn't have are Amulet of Uroborus or the Soul of Hades, and the things that were taken from him by Athena after the evens of chains. In terms of hax, he would have everything else. If it was just GoW 1, kratos would be extremely restricted in terms of what he's capable of, considering the only definite hax he would have is " Electricity Manipulation (Via Zeus' Fury and Poseidon's Rage), Power Nullification (With Zeus' Fury), and Petrification (via Medusa's Gaze)", with the miscellaneous oddball hax that carried over.

Novels

His Blades absorb life force from enemies which is the explanation for the red orbs
Yes, but don't they have to make contact?
Is that just a stipulation for the thread?
Up for debate, although nothing suggests otherwise that kratos wouldn't have his magical attacks still in GoW 1, other than the fact he doesn't use them, but that's for obvious reasons. Could be a similar situation like dante with quicksilver.

Hmm that feels a bit..... generous

Kratos would've lost all his abilities prior during the beginning of GoW 2 for sure, and his weapon based hax wouldn't carry over due to the fact they were taken from him after the events of chains.
Kotal has absorption as well. The thread was made as a race against the clock for kratos, because while like you stated, he may have more offensive capabilities, for how long they are relevant is the key factor. The fight takes place during the day, so kotal has a major advantage right off the bat, considering equal stats, they would both be hypersonic, but kotal has Light Speed attacks. He also regens during the daytime as well, and with stackable totems that don't disappear, he has a major advantage as the fight carries on.

Well Kratos already resists fire, so one of kotal’s abilities is moot. Also him having Zeus’ innate powers in the blades of chaos would screw Kotal over given it can absorb powers on contact, so if Kratos does activate that with his blades, or uses Zeus’ fury or Medusa’s gaze. It’s GG for kotal. Also don’t really see him getting past being stunned by the eyes of truth or the orkos stone overwhelming him with a clone. All in all I think Kratos should take this easily.

Kotal is starting off with a considerable AP advantage here, on top of having a major speed advantage as well. With his ability to summon totems that do not disappear, and massively amp him, on top of the passive empowerment from daylight, I don't believe kratos takes this easily at all. Also, if kotal damages kratos at all and blood is spilt, it's game over for kratos.
