Full Metal Alchemist: Is the lightning feat an outlier?

Sorry if I sound ignorant but aren't guns used all the time in FMA? Hasn't Ed been at the end of one severall times and not dared move? Seems a bit inconsistant that in a series where guns are used as common weapons even by alchemists, that there's alchemists who could easily dodge it. Would also make that one time he used a gun redundant if he had the ability to move that fast.

it is probably wrong.. the FMAB profile are a little all over the place (bradley the fastest char, or atleast faster than Ed is supersonic) but yeah I don't think it should be used imo

it's pretty much a outlier/inconsistency when the rest of the verse considers bullet timing to be godly, and i'd be willing to do it

The lightening dodging feat was during the final fight of the series. Throughout the series, the cast got progressively stronger. To discount a feat from the end of the series, because at the beginning the couldn't do anything like it, is frankly poppycock.

@Uncle they are scared to death from guns. and at the beginning of the show? they couldn't dodge bullets at all during ANY part of the show except for some high tier people like Bradley. I remember SeiryuShin had a issue with this aswell a long time ago, and hes quite frankly right. it's not legit.

Exaclty. If Edward was that fast, he'd have no reason to form his chainmail into a gun. It makes no sense to fire bullets slower than you.
