Everybody Wants to Rule the World 5: The Hunter (Thread 6)

WHYNAUT said:
@Earth Pulse hobos

"I'll spar with you, but only for a short while." he replies to Ryuka and Magnus.
"Well I didn't say that was what I wanted to- I mean it's not that I don't want to, but- I-I mean shut up! If you want to spar with me then I don't mind it either!"

I'm embarrassed for you. Koharu thinks after hearing Ryuka

She sits down nearby to watch the fight

I sit next to Koharu.

"In your opinion, what should we do with him? He is now a vampire ... his thirst for blood could be greater than his willpower ... and it won't be long before he attacks the innocent"

"I don't think he is still a vampire he seems to have used that light to cure himself or something. But if he does start to attack people indiscriminately I guess he has to be taken care of."

"There is also the problem that some of us will not be at all happy with the fact that he was brought back to life, Nanaya will attack him at the first warning, Rompot will be very disappointed and Jessia ... well ... when she finds out that Ryuka has brought back to life the murderer of his friend I don't think she will limit himself to attacking only the knight "

The Earthpulse Luminaris observes the group, he doesn't say anything, but looks slightly concerned.

The House Luminaris opens a portal for Rompot to enter.

The Facility Luminaris continues observing the fight.

The wandering Luminaris has recalled that there were others who wished to see Telos, using his domain he locates Nanaya and appears near her just as she calls out.

"The blue place.. It is called the Earthpulse. Regardless, I recall you having some interest in the Knight, Telos, he has been resurrected, he is also no longer trying to kill us, though he agreed to spar with the ones who wanted this." He says as he opens a portal to that place.

Koharu shrugs

"I guess we will have to see how they react when they see him, perhaps they are the forgiving type."

"Well while I do want to face him again, I'd like to do so when he is at full strength and one on one. I would prefer not to do it right after he faced two opponents."

While waiting and lsitening to the surrounding conversation, Jessia opens a mist gate leading to another dimension.

"I'll be back."

She says before entering the gate and continuing to explore the "other world".

"Thanks buddy"

Rompot saided as he is entering the portal. As he entered, Rompot notices someone familiar, someone that he was not happy in seeing again, the knight.

Rompot's first action was to summon his fusion cannon and take aim on him, but he notices that the people around him are not reacting negative to his presence, so Rompot stopped before he summoned the cannon.

Than he started to approach them

"Are you guys nuts? He just killed an innocent live and will just let him hang out here!? And why is he even alive?"

Rompot asked unbelieving in what he was seeing and while pointing to the knight

"Then I suggest we go to a less crowded section of Earthpulse," I say, then put a hand on Koharu's shoulder and teleport both to a fairly large area of the realm.

"So, the rules are simple, we will fight until one of us is exhausted, unable to fight or declare surrender ... are these rules good for you?" I ask, flying a few feet away from her.

"Well then let's get started!"

As the first spell I use Ebony Flesh, hardening my skin like Ebony, then Boundless Storm, increasing my speed and Resistance to spells and physical attacks.

Then I use Power Surge, enhancing my spells and casting the Fire Ball spell, throwing a fireball at Koharu.

@Drite.

The clone of Magnus turns towars you.

"Wait, wait ! It's not as bad as it seems ... let me explain."

He says, with an unsure tone of voice.

"Basically, Charley was a lost cause, with the purification being actually what killed him, as he was no longer a human, but almost 100% demon."

"Also, Telos would have ressurected anyway, apparently, so we just woke him up early."

The clone tries to justify their action.

Koharu lifts her blades up and uses Tenken Kusakabe to send the incoming attack into another dimension. After being absorbed into the dimension the fireball is launched back at Gondlir from above him.

@Overlord

"What poor excuses they are, but I must ask why was he resurrected in the first place? Did you know he was going to resurrect anyway when you brought him back?"

Alexander asks when he turns off Presence Concealment after walking thought the portal to the Earthpulse.

@Overlord

"But who guarantees that he can't be a human inside, just because that he is a demon doesn't mean that he can't live his life."

"You guys ressurected him? Why in the world would you do that, did you wanted to kill him one more time?"

Looking up, I notice my fireball.

With a slight grin I use Ball of Lightning, traveling at lightning speed against the spell and absorbing it.

Then I use Daedric Curse, marking Koharu with an explosive Daedric rune.

[Note, my spells passively ignore Magic Resistance]

Koharu tosses Kumokiri towards Gondlir, the air around the blade being manipulated to make the blade travel faster and allow the air around it to cut as well.

While the blade was flying she projects rule breaker into her hands and stabs herself in order to remove the curse.

[What level of resistance do they ignore? also fate magic resist cancels spells as well]

"Also I must ask, but..."

Alexander turns to look at Luninaris' clone.

"...does your clones share their memories among each other?"

[I took Res. Neg. from Mordekaiser, so is High 6-A .. I think...]

Thanks to Boundless Storm that increased my speed I react promptly using Telekinesis and immobilizing the sword in midair and send it back to the sender.

"I see, and when did you think to inform us of what was going on here. Better yet, why did you allow it to happen."

"Several reasons. For one, he would have made a useful ally, and for another, the people here were so insistent on doing this that I would have had to kill them to stop it, something I did not wish to do."

"And what if he wasn't a ally what if he continued hos crusade against us, what then it took so many of us to put him down last time, the numbers here wouldn't have been any to stop him, so I think you should have tried to stop them. Sitting back and watching as people commit a shortsided mistake because you believe you can't stop them is as bad as commiting the mistake yourself."

Koharu uses Scorching Crimson Mirror to deflect her sword. Immediately after she closes the distance with Shukuchi and slashes at Gondlir's back using Hongetsu to send vibrations through him even if he managed to block the slash.

@Paul

Having no way of blocking the vibrating blow, I am struck even though the damage has been mitigated with Boundless Storm.

I utter a groan of pain and then teleport away from her and use a healing spell.

Then use the spell summons Storm Atronach and Twilight Winged.

The two creatures appear next to Koharu, hitting her with lightning while I hold her immobilized with telekinesis.

"Had he continued to attack us all, I would have simply ejected him from this realm. I did warn them of this danger and that the results would be on their heads. Regardless, he has given us valuable information on the demons and has agreed to aid us if necessary. And, do not misunderstand me, It was not because I believed that I could not stop them that I allowed this to transpire, it is because I did not wish to fight against my own allies, as they too are useful in solving this demonic menace on this world." the Earthpulse Luminaris answers.

"Think what you will. What matters is resolving the issue plaguing those of this world. The demons cannot be saved by my power, as such they will have to be eliminated at the source."

"With his last breath Telos had said that we had passed the "trial" and had pretty much given up, that's why we thought he wouldn't have just attacked us if he was ressurected him."

The clone responds to Alexander

"And, for why he was ressurected ... WELL ..."

The clone looks towards Ryuka, then back at Alexander.

"We wanted a round 2 against him."

"...I can't believe that you really did that for just another chance of fighting him, like, i don't even have words to express how pretencious, idiot and silly reason that is, and you did that without consulting all of us, i am disapointed Magnus, i thought that you would be more careful with your choices"

"...You wanted a round 2... Well we can tick that off the list of things the might be requirements of being chosen can't we. Now give me a second, because this rage I feel inside seems to have gotten so bad that I can't even feel my migraine anymore and I do think I need to vent. Now while I do that if you don't mind please inform the other of what you idiots have done so they can finally give their two cents, and I figure out what I'm going to do next."

With that Alexander summoned storm clouds in the Earthpulse causing it the pour down and activates Presence Concealment.

"I'm the one who resurrected him. What Magnus may or may not have wanted had nothing to do with it. I admit I wanted to fight him again, and that was a big part of it, but I wouldn't have done so if I thought it would put the rest of you in danger. With all of the evidence I gathered, I took a wager on him no longer being a threat to us, and it seems like I was right. If that angers you, I take full responsibility for making that decision, but I won't apologize for it."
