Elden Ring General Discussion

Also strange question, but do you all think it would be possible to scale all of the lords to Consort Radahn in terms of speed? We know to be a lord, it requires a specific level of strength, and thus all lords (Godfrey, Radagon, the Tarnished, Radahn, and to a certain extent Midra) should all be similar in ability, which includes speed imo.

I think it could work. By the time Tarnished and radahn fight again the tarnished is certainly around the level of the other lords. Like you said, and they either fight Radahn before or after those bosses. And the shadutree blessings are explicitly stated to only boost attack and defense meaning it's not a in lore everything boost(so no speed boost that allows them to keep up with light speed). So yeah I do think the other lords can be scaled speed wise.

Sounds good to me.

Also, what kind of madness manip are we giving those with the frenzied flame?

I'd say both. Just falling into despair is enough to allow it to corrupt people and other stuffs but physical contact with it also has corrupting power

Saw a couple of pages from the volume 3 book of knowledge guide for elden ring. Man they don't make guide books like they used to anymore. No more just stating a person or thing is of universal power, no more x attack is a light attack and thus light speed scaling, no more outlandish lore statments that completely change the field. Where's the stupidly powerful outlandish statements that drive the verse up to outerversal? Elden bros... it's over...

Hey, do you think the Oil-Soaked Tear qualifies for Transmutation or Biological Manipulation?
A crystal tear formed slowly over the ages, where the scattered sap of the Scadutree pools deep within the furnace golems. Can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick. The resulting concoction temporarily causes the imbiber to break out in an oily sweat, soaking nearby enemies in oil. Oil-soaked enemies are highly susceptible to fire damage.

When was this ever the case for any souls game though? I can't think of one game beyond maybe bloodborne where guidebooks are used for anything (and even still I've yet to get to bloodborne and deal with all that stuff).

I'm just exaggerating and joking abit since sometimes in other series their guide books provide some pretty big statements for their scaling. Also bloodborne uses the guide books for some scaling? first I've heard of it.

Elden Ring doesn't need to be outerversal when it's already layers into boundless++++ (Miyazaki told me)

So true. It was crazy when Miyazaki revealed that the Greater Will is an azathoth-like figure and dreams reality and its multiple infinite transcending dimensions into existence and through the Elden ring one actually has complete control of almost everything except the Greater will and the Outer Gods. Truly insane stuff!

I loved it when Miyazaki said that Patches has R>F status across every game and appears in each game by crossing into boundless real dimensions. Classic fromsoft!

Okay but more importantly when I first heard the Elden Ring intro it was without the visuals including the subtitles and I thought that the narrator said "Fear, the Deathbed Companion" which I thought was a super badass title because fear and death go hand and hand, until I learned it was just some lady named "Fia" and was disappointed.

You mean like how the only description of the cosmology stated in game says he did? which is baked up by Ymir?
The problem with that is Hyetta stating everything came from the "one great" and some evidence ingame pointing to the greater will and frenzied flame being one in the same once upon a time, and if that's the case, that means the greater will isn't at its full power anymore

I find it more interesting that it implies that Radahn is fully conscious of his decisions here and that Miquella had to willing become corporeal again to help Radahn. Also implying Prime Radahn was always Elden Lord level in strength.
Tbf "Elden lord level strength" can vary wildly. Bernahl and Vyke were also Elden lord level strength according to the game yet I wouldn't put them even near the level of Radann, malenia and our own tarnished

Damn, the implication here is that he lost all those parts in separate battles, meaning it's possible he didn't even cripple Placidusax when he was in his own prime.
I also noticed that. There's no way bayle would've retreated had he injured placid to the state we see him ingame while bayle himself was pretty much untouched

Also Bayle is the only ancient dragon whose heart we eat, isn't he? For some reason we can't eat the hearts of ancient dragons in the game
