Dragon Ball Super Discussion Thread 100

Atomic manip on the Quantum level, Absolute Zero temperatures, space time bending, etc............i think Zamasu could survive it, due to regen........altho, that depends on what "survive" mean, as i don't think he would be able to escape the Black Hole......or be conscious as his body is torned apart........huh, Infintie Zamasu would as he is too big.......but now i can't think of the "weakest" that can survive a black hole
I was presuming survive meant "tank" (show off one's durability) in this instance. Because technically, anyone could survive a black hole if you just cut off your arm and threw just that in from reaaaally far away.

If we meant like just...be alive after, I think the best choices would be Garlic Jr. (he's immortal), Zamasu (is immortal), Infinite Zamasu (would be a pimple compared to him), Metal Cooler (his bodies are merely extensions of his true form, the Big Gete Star), Baby (he can return from just a single cell in another person, hence why it was necessary to cure everyone on Earth), Buu (for the same reasons as Baby and Cooler), people who are ToP Goku level and up (survived a gravitational singularity in the form of the PBH), and like, that's really all I can think of at the moment. (The Revenge Death Ball has the space time bending properties, so it's sort of similar, but it doesn't have the other properties of a black hole, so I don't think GT Goku could survive it). Also like, Zeno, because nothing in Dragon Ball canon can kill him.

For Buu and ToP Goku level dudes......thing is.....durability doesn't really matter here as.....a black hole undoes your body on a quantum level, therefore you can be as durable as you want.....it won't help, Buu can regen from that, and the ToP PBH is not really accurate to a REAL black hole, it stopped sucking things and......it was shining light arround it for example, so....i am not sure those could survive, i am skeptical on Garlic Jr, but meh, i am.....75% sure he was in DBZ Kai, so one could argue he would scale to Zamasu in "immortality" level

Yeah, durability doesn't matter to the spatial fudging, but whilst the PBH isn't totally accurate, it still had that specific property. So I imagine Goku could take that specifically. The remaining issues would be the Absolute Zero and other features (which Vegeta showed that--At least once you reach the ToP--Is meaningless due to your Ki), so they should also resist that,, though they may still be killed by the Black Hole itself by other factors I'm unaware of/you didn't list (for example, I don't know if their resistance to radiation would matter compared to a Black Hole). Of course, the Black Hole would destroy everything else around them and they'd die anyway, but that's neither here or there.

For Buu, I listed him surviving because he can just regenerate and clone himself, so he could literally pull a Metal Cooler or Baby. Throw a version of him in, reappear far away with a preset Buu.

Would immeasurable speed help someone avoid the effect of the Black Hole while there literally in the middle of a Black Hole?

Maybe? Since you could just...travel to a moment in time in which you aren't in a black hole. Unless we consider the black hole fudges with the fabric of space time, which could then mean the nearby time to travel to could be fudged by the Black Hole itself? Don't know for sure. I'm not a physics expert, and even physics experts are confused on the exact mechanics of a BH, so I can only guess based on what I remember from watching lots of Astronomy Documentaries and my very limited understanding of reality (with a dash of my nonexistent common sense).

it didm't really showed that capability of Quantum level crushing.......so, i don't feel like it is accurate to give it that property either

how do we know that is an ability of Ki and not just Vegeta?

Oh yeah that is that.......it wouldn't cover really, plus BH have no air, so they would honestly suffucate, i don't think they even have the LS to get out either

i mean.....i guess? Kind of situational tho, but i guess it is fair

Well if that's the case then we just need immeasurable speed canon dbs to be able to "survive" in a black hole

Issue is it depends on how the black hole is depicted from a fictional standpoint. If it is literally 1 to 1 with the real thing maybe you can make the argument, otherwise it's up in the air and we have to focus on how they depict the black hole

That's not a issue the question is can DBZ character survive a Black Hole, not will DBZ ever show a Black Hole and have it be portrayed correctly in the story

Why did Trunks travel to Age 779 in DBS?

In the 4th Timeline (the timeline Trunks created ), the U6 Tournament took place in Age 779 and Super Shenron was summoned right after. The Super Dragon Balls would be inactive for 1 year before they could be used again. Because of this, Zamasu used the Time Ring to travel 1 year into the future (to Age 780) and swap bodies with Goku. He would then flee to the 3rd Timeline and start Zero Mortals Plan there.

Trunks would be heavily outmatched by Goku Black so he would use the Time Machine to get help in the past he helped save many years ago (the main timeline we follow). Now here's my question: shouldn't Trunks have gone to Age 780 instead of Age 779? Shouldn't he have arrived in the world where Goku, Chi-Chi and Goten were killed by Black?

By going to Age 779, Trunks essentially created a brand new timeline, something that he was against unless absolutely necessary. Am i missing something here? Was this ever explained?

From what I’m aware of, I’m pretty sure it’s the same reason Cell is able to travel to the same Pre-Branched Timeline Trunks traveled to. Temporal connection. This is heavily suggested in the DBS Manga. In order for Trunks to return to the timeline he saved, he had to go back to the one specifically programmed. You’re able to travel back and forth due to temporal connection, but that connection fades over time (until this error was corrected by Present Bulma).

I see... i was thinking it had something to do with Zamasu using the Time Ring to skip one year into the future but what you're saying makes more sense. Bulma did fix the error in the time machine and Pilaf improved it afterwards.

Since my revisions are going to be slowing down for a bit, figured I'd add some more sound files for the verse. Going to do Frieza because of course I am, anyone got character recommendations?

Bit of a note, I am going to be changing and adding new ones. Since a lot of the quotes are just "Copy and paste them a bunch of times regardless of context", for example DBS Frieza is just going to get all of his changed since his quote is, from what I recall, specifically from the Namek 'You must die by my hand' moment which doesn't makes the most sense for DBS Frieza who has his own list of quotes to use.

Maybe Toei Vegeta? Especially for his Buu Saga self…

This is kinda similar to Goku prolly having insane heat resistance due to the thermal energy required to perform the BoG fist clash feat is like planck temperatures.

The center of a black hole could produce potentially infinite amounts of tidal force, but Goku has tanked shit levels of infinity greater than that potentially infinity.

Plus with the general vice shout or ki flare being able to shatter time and space, Goku would reasonably be fine in a black hole.

The LS thing is more just a gaff on this site due to changing omnipresent standards so IZ would get immeasurable LS, so I don't take it seriously.

Given he's tanked history level EE, which is like far more thorough than quantum destruction, I also don't take 'but he doesn't have muh resistance' argument seriously either.

So yeah he'd be fine in a black hole. Maybe not according to this site, but in actuality it wouldn't be a threat to him

Funny enough we don't equate existence eraser resistance as superior to Quantum manipulation or any more of matter manipulation

Uh quick question, why would the fist clash in BoG be I the range of Planck temperature? Can you explain it please?

Idk, just sounds inconsistent. The next best feat is like, lave survival in dbs broly between the at the time, strongest guys
The funniest part about this is that according to one of the head members working on the film, part of the original concept was Goku and Vegeta fighting Broly on the Sun. Which is a big “what?” given how massive of a jump in heat resistance that is. (Plus, breathing in space somehow?)

Hello.

What do the DB experts here think about this?

I believe this comes down to a difference in wanting to reconcile information. For example, he (Shin the Science Guy) states that Goku retcons the existence of the Otherworld Tournament Arc when he remembers falling into Hell (which makes no sense, because recalling he fell long ago does not then make his later visits suddenly not happen unless he specifically states that’s the only time he went, which he didn’t), ignoring how Hell in GT looks nothing like the Hell Goku fell into in Z, and ignoring how GT is the “canon” continuation of the Z-Anime, meaning both arcs must co-exist, and that Toei is full of constant inconsistencies we have to try and make sense of (such as how in the Anime, it is a fact Kid Buu > Buuhan, Goku at 1% in SSJ >= Ultimate Gohan, etc. None of which aligns with the Manga.)

Assuming he is right about the Otherworld Tournament, he is content to wipe it from the reality of the Anime entirely, which doesn’t make sense to do when Pikkon in fact re-appears and is part of the Buu Saga, one, and two, is essentially trying to handwave/ignore/write away the fact these two conflicting details exist and can be reconciled in some fashion.

Similarly, they attempt to write off the GT Dragon Book—Which is pretty explicit, Fusion Reborn Gogeta and SSJ4 Gogeta are one and the same—by using a scan about DBS Broly that doesn’t make real sense? (As the scan fully claims this is a NEW Broly, unconnected. Not that they are connected).

Strangely, their argument doesn’t even cover everything, like how the films were intended to be in the world of GT, hence why we SEE Cooler. The films are canonically considered part of the “Past Enemies of Dragon Ball” for GT’s continuity, which is the continuation of the Z-Anime. Meanwhile, a lot of their points are drawing false equivalents in the form of trying to cross reference material across SDBH Manga, the DBS Manga, and XV, and more.

To keep a long story short, I don’t find it to be a fully capable means of deconstructing my blog.
