Dragon Ball Super Discussion Thread 100

and look at interviews of it as well.....dunno if Beerus has a "can destroy the universe" statement somewhere, or if Goku still has the "we godamn can't beat this purple godly garfield with Vegito AAAAAAAHHHH" statement like in the anime
That statement is in the movie, yes.

In the Dragon Ball movie Battle of Gods, from what i remember, there are quotes about Beerus destroying a solar system and a galaxy according to Whis.

Canonically, the Universe Survival Arc took place in the year 780. Therefore, either the Grand Priest lied about the Universes with low mortal level being erased or something happened in the other timelines that prevented this from happening (since Trunks timeline continued to exist after year 780 despite the fact that the ToP never ocurred on this timeline)

Presumably, the fact two Zenos existed to perpetuate the conversation hastened that topic’s conclusion. We see that the GP often interrupts or acts to lead the Zeno’s decisions. Could just be it’s much harder with two of ‘em.

i vaguely remember that one of the reasons why the BOG movie wasn't so destructive was that their was an earthquake in Japan and he didn't want to show that since it would be in bad taste

or maybe im misremembering it but i do recall a statement like that
yeah, there is a universal shaking statement in the trailer of the movie that was removed from the actual movie for this precise reason

this takes me back to 2013 when this statement came out people used this as " confirmation" that cell couldn't destroy a solar system :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
I would find this very funny, people think that Akira Toriyama created work to show hyperbole and fallacies, but here he doesn't talk about any fallacious mythology.

Different timelines suggest different stories for each of them

The erasure of the universe was a constant, it was already going to happen until Goku suggested the idea of a tournament, which indirectly saved the universes as a result.

This didn't happen in the timelines where Goku is dead, yet they weren't erased in that time. Therefore, we can conclude that a butterfly effect led to a similar outcome, but we don't know the specifics.

Trunks when he returned to his timeline had other versions of him every time, sometimes where Cell kills him, maybe Universe 7 was erased in other lines where Trunks was not, for this we don't see any of that or you can interpret it as different time stream equals different history where Universe 7 was not at risk of extinction by Zeno.

He literally stomped ssj3 immediately what
That's not impressive to Z Top Tiers like Buuhan let alone Vegito even there lesser forms they could do that
When you look at the movie Beerus didn't do anything impressive that Buuhan or Vegito couldn't do

I’m not saying it’s unprecedented, just that stomping the mc, post story in top of that is, in his strongest form, is impressive.

Whis looks at you through the still frame in the lost screen in sparking zero for the battle of gods area he can see into the timeless reality between frames?
And black confirms not even what a gos dose in the past can affect him, happy to hear that mechanic spelled out clearly

Glorio airplane(Lol, in 2 ep he said he didn't fly in cosmos regularly) can reach cosmos in few seconds, but in Third Makai it will be destroyed if reach any good speeds and they fly on something about 40-80 km/h speeds. Well, another one way to nerf Goku in Makai?
