Dude why would it be after superhero? We have 4 extra years before super for this to take place, and according to geekdom this WILL be relevant LATER, why cram in a series with a new name when super is currently still going yet is just on hiatus?

Funny. Funny like 3 dragonball using in anime series, another one after ToP and some statements about timeskips and we get at least 4 years-long plot before SH timeskip. And 3 years SH timeskip. Funny and sad for «4 years before BoG and BoG statement that there is just few months after Buu» things.

why WOULDN'T it? Kibitoshin is separated and no reason in the trailers we got so far implies anything to believe it isn't just a continuation of the story rather than a backstory tale

Omega for the love of all that is good, i'd suggest watching geekdom101s video for more information. Its CLEAR that whatever curse the demons are using will somehow SPLIT the fusion of shin and kibito, and daima will tie into super later from what were told. And its clear its after buu saga because of all the focus on it, its a sequel to the events of buu. Super is still on going, slapping daima in the middle of super makes no damn sense.

For starters, in the teaser trailer, Goku is depicted in a kanji-less gi with a sash-style ogi, which he adopted during the Android Saga. By the time of The Return of Son Goku and Friends, Goku wears a "go" kanji gi with a bow-tied ogi,—like he does during Broly and Super Hero,—and by the time of Super, he has returned to a sash-style ogi.
Daima most likely takes place within two years of the Majin Buu Conflict.

I have already detailed why there are no 4 years BEFORE the start of DBS. And there can't be any 3-4 years between BoG and SH either, since there are at least 4 years between BoG and Broly alone due to the characters actively using Dragonballs, which, for the record, take a year to recharge. And oh wonder, they've been used it just 4 times before SH. Total between BoG and Broly is ~4 years(Or 5.5 years after Buu) + 3 years between Broly and Super Hero(8-9 years after Buu). And its just using dragonballs recharge without other statements. 4 years before the start of DBS just doesn't fit, especially considering the direct reference from the first episode that 6 months passed after defeating Buu and the dragon pearls were used, then a few months pass (I already linked to it above) and the BoG arc begins. It takes about a year between the beginning of the BoG arc and the meeting between Goku and Beerus because the Dragonballs have time to recharge. Daima just can't exist in that year timeskip, and it actually doesn't exist there. + Not fused Kibito and Kaioshin and some other contradicts to Super.
The fact that the authors specified the wrong year compared to DBZ does not indicate 4 years of timeskip between the end of Z and the beginning of BoG, as it is contradicted by the beginning of BoG with clear statements of time intervals.
And I'm also going to be accused of trolling here. It's ridiculous.
