Dragon Ball Super Discussion Thread 100

4 years? You kidding? There's no 4 years between Buu Saga and DBS, it was said in first episode lol. There's only few month.
Well, most of your takes was destroyed by anime, lol.
  • Goten was 7 in the Buu Saga.
    • He is 16 in Super Hero.
      • That's a 9 year difference between the events of the Buu Saga and Super Hero.
  • Videl was pregnant with Pan in BoG.
    • Pan was born between BoG and RoF, which is 1 year after BoG.
      • Pan is around 4 years old in Super Hero.
        • So Super Hero is 4-5 years after BoG.
Let's hammer this in further. The epilogue of the manga is 10 years after the defeat of Buu. This is explicitly stated. Goten is 17 years old. Pan is 5 years old. They have a 12 year age difference. Pan was only born in Battle of Gods and Super Hero is only 4 years after BoG. Are you proposing that Goten is actually meant to be 12 years old in SH and he spent 4 years in the Time Chamber with Trunks offscreen? If not then where exactly does this extra 4 years come from?

There is no point in Super where a time skip like this can even occur. And that's all thanks to Pan's age making it impossible. The only point an additional 4 year time skip can occur is between Buu and BoG.

Which we don't have, turning DBS into a separate tie-in where there is no DBZ ending with a 10-year timeskip.
And the timeskips for half a year between events + the use of Earth Dragonballs at least twice after the BoG arc - in the Zamasu arc and before ToP in the episode where Bulma makes the time machine are repeatedly stated in the story. The time frame is already a little more than 4-5 years based on the use of dragon pearls, since the events of the anime series already have a time gap of 2-3 years.
Now, maybe I can remember how many dragonballs were used.
So. BoG Arc, for the creation of the Super God Saiyan. Arch RoF, for resurrecting Freeza. Arc of the 6th and 7th universe tournament to find the last super dragonball. Then Goku wanted to resurrect Kaioh. Also another use of dragon pearls to save Broly. All in all it was 4 years from BoG ending with DBS: Broly. Or 5 years after defeating Buu, since the dragonballs used in BoG recharged just that time period. Plus three years had passed after DBS: Broly by the time DBS: Super Hero started, totaling at least 8 years, since this doesn't take into account ALL the timeskips of the anime. Where another 4 years before the events of BoG should fit in here I have no idea.
What do we have? A maxed out timeline. Extremely holey and unexplainable.

And official ≠ canon. For Akira DBS is firstly anime started from 2013, not 2015 DBS or Toyotaro's manga. And considering that Toyotaro's manga is dead in the media, and its content is not used in any products except for this manga itself, then for large companies that currently own all the rights to the franchise, this manga basically does not exist. And Akira has never declared its canonicity. There are only Toyotaro's words that he wants to end the original story, blah-blah-blah, but ... any other spin-off or any other continuation of the story can do this. Even fan fiction can do this(Toyotaro actually doing this rn). The fact that his manga is sold does not make this manga canon for original story by definition. Just as Toyotaro's words do not make it canon. And from Akira's words it follows that DBS as a whole, as a phenomenon, is not a full-fledged continuation of the original story, but rather acts on the same level as DBGT. Just like other timeline.

I understand that losing DBS can be painful, but there is no point in defending it so recklessly either. Daima can't exist within the DBS for many reasons already at the time of the trailers' release, and what will happen when the anime itself comes out? Oh, there will be more. Much more.
What are you yapping about, there's 4 or 5 years.

still don't see why it will not just be after Super Hero
Dude why would it be after superhero? We have 4 extra years before super for this to take place, and according to geekdom this WILL be relevant LATER, why cram in a series with a new name when super is currently still going yet is just on hiatus?

Funny. Funny like 3 dragonball using in anime series, another one after ToP and some statements about timeskips and we get at least 4 years-long plot before SH timeskip. And 3 years SH timeskip. Funny and sad for «4 years before BoG and BoG statement that there is just few months after Buu» things.

Dude why would it be after superhero?
why WOULDN'T it? Kibitoshin is separated and no reason in the trailers we got so far implies anything to believe it isn't just a continuation of the story rather than a backstory tale

and according to geekdom this WILL be relevant LATER
1 who that?, 2 what will be relevant later?

.......Super Anime ended, the DBS Manga is continuing sure......but the Super Anime very much ended

Omega for the love of all that is good, i'd suggest watching geekdom101s video for more information. Its CLEAR that whatever curse the demons are using will somehow SPLIT the fusion of shin and kibito, and daima will tie into super later from what were told. And its clear its after buu saga because of all the focus on it, its a sequel to the events of buu. Super is still on going, slapping daima in the middle of super makes no damn sense.

why WOULDN'T it?
For starters, in the teaser trailer, Goku is depicted in a kanji-less gi with a sash-style ogi, which he adopted during the Android Saga. By the time of The Return of Son Goku and Friends, Goku wears a "go" kanji gi with a bow-tied ogi,—like he does during Broly and Super Hero,—and by the time of Super, he has returned to a sash-style ogi.

Daima most likely takes place within two years of the Majin Buu Conflict.

Null is right about that

oh.......legit didn't spotted that, fair enough

Nah, see, I'm thinking SSJ2 Gohan >>> Super Perfect Cell >>> Powerweighted Cell > Hypothetical Full Power Cell Games SSJ Gohan >>> Full Power Cell >>> Perfect Cell >>> Cell Games SSJ Gohan >>> Buu Saga SSJ Gohan > Cell Games Gohan.

Dear God, I hope Dabura gets weaker. I hope he is only slightly stronger than Super Saiyan Gohan was.

Null when they say Dabura is = Super Perfect Cell, and that Dabura could annihilate multiple Solar Systems in one blast (his hopes and dreams have been completely obliterated):
Null when Debura crosses the entire universe to enter the demon realm in a few seconds and he’d get blitzed by Gohan.

Ah so that's probably why we had no dbs, Toyo is probably waiting for it to finish before he can continue and add these characters into a future arc
