KIRI is clearly measured differently than PL. And even then, I'm pretty sure it also suffers similar issues about being non-linear. Remember when going from a PL of 139 to 180 was a tier jump from 9-B to 5-C? (Well, that should be more like High 8-C to 5-C after some other plans).

Though, that's a good point to probably exclude Yakon, but base forms being above Pui Pui should still be in play.

I'll just address this bit:



Gohan (and base Goku) is not implied to be heavily superior to Yakon. As the OP points out, Gohan indicates it will take both of them together to Yakon. And when we get a comparison of the power between Yakon and Super Saiyan Goku, the comparison is 800 to 3,000. I know that power levels are nonsense, but Super Saiyan Goku is supposed to be 50 times his base form, no? The gap between 800 and 3,000 is a lot smaller than that.

So just that bit of the scaling chain I find questionable.

Well, Goku was hardly at full power at that point. He only transformed to brighten up the environment, meaning his Power Level at that moment could be anywhere between 50% of Super Saiyan to marginally above his base form.

Also, yes, there is the issue of Power Levels in general being scaled exponentially rather than linearly.

DBS manga dabura does at least, he was beating a SS1 trunks who had been training with the Z sword as well and even brought It into the fight against him.

Buu Saga Goku and Vegeta are both High 4-C in their base forms by virtue of scaling above the Supreme Kai. Buu Saga Gohan should be given the same treatment; consequently, Cell Games Gohan and likely Goku would be upgraded, too.

Based on his own feats and statements...

• Even knowing the might of his Supreme Kai, Kibito viewed a fraction of the Ki that Gohan possessed to be "immeasurable"
• Dabura believed the three Saiyans, including Gohan, combined, could deliver enough energy to fully revivify Majin Buu, implying comparability
• Gohan participated in the rock-paper-scissors match to decide the one to take on Pui-Pui, and Vegeta considered him part of the "strongest beings in existence"
• Babidi was weary of the three Saiyans altogether, disregarding the Supreme Kai entirely, enough to send out Yakon immediately after Pui-Pui
• In the presence of the mighty Yakon, Gohan was able to remain level-headed and confident, whereas the Supreme Kai immediately rallied for an ambush with the group's combined forces
• Gohan was confident that if he assisted Goku, the two could have taken on Yakon without even their Super Saiyan forms, as Yakon directly countered said powers
• Even after the battle, having witnessed Pui-Pui at his strongest, Gohan still considered the trials Babidi orchestrated to be similar to a video game
• By the time Dabura appeared, the Supreme Kai was left thoroughly amazed by the power of the three Saiyans, viewing their strength as impossible for "mere mortals" despite their relaxed states

Based on powerscaling...

• Uh... Cell.
  • Trunks was "almost" as powerful as Vegeta and, even in his normal Super Saiyan form, posed enough of a threat to Semi-Perfect Cell to completely halt him, dead in his tracks
  • The act of raising his Ki to the level of Second Grade Super Saiyan was enough for Vegeta to shock not only Piccolo, but even Semi-Perfect Cell and Krillin recognized Vegeta's Ki as even larger than that of Cell's; although, this was obvious
  • As an upgraded Super Saiyan, Vegeta completely disregarded a full power Semi-Perfect Cell's strength and even no-sold its strikes
  • The energy that Cell generated on the way to entering its completed form was strong enough to no-sell the punches of Grade 2 Trunks
  • Even while holding back "way, way, WAY more" of its full strength, Perfect Cell was powerful enough for Krillin to deduce that Vegeta, in his current state, had zero chance of defeating Cell
  • "Warming up", Perfect Cell pressured Super Vegeta into near-exhaustion without breaking a sweat, and then proceeded to blitz him and no-sell a kick to the neck, proving its vast superiority
  • Perfect Cell, even holding back immeasurably, was too powerful of a foe for Vegeta to even faze with his attacks, and Cell effortlessly stomped him
  • Without even readying for combat, Trunks' Ki, leaking from his body violently, was enough to catch the attention of Cell, who acknowledged his strength as worthy of entertainment
  • Cell deemed Trunks' power as a Third Grade Super Saiyan to be "greater than [its] by a wide margin", which Piccolo corroborated
  • Powering into half of his full strength, Goku shocked even the likes of Vegeta, Trunks, and Piccolo, with Vegeta even acknowledging that Goku managed to widen the gap between the two; however, Gohan was not impressed and did not even believe that this was truly half of his full power
  • At his fullest capacity, Goku, as a Super Saiyan, was considered "unbelievable" and "immeasurable" [by Krillin] in strength by the sideliners, including Vegeta and Trunks... but not Gohan
  • His Ki not even raised, Gohan had viewed the entire battle between Goku and Cell as a battle between a monster and a man that not even tried, proving the vast gap between him and his father
• Vegeta remarked that Gohan had grown "out of shape" in the years following the Cell Games; however, he never discounted his strength and, in fact, even showed interest in battling Gohan, despite recognizing that his strength had stagnated, with Vegeta, not even exercising a fraction of his full strength, effortlessly dominating Pui-Pui and deeming him a worthless opponent

The scaling chain goes as follows...

• (Cell Games) Heavily Suppressed SSJ Gohan >>> 100% SSJ Goku > 50% SSJ Goku >>>>>> Super Trunks > DBZ 193 Perfect Cell >> "Warm-up" Perfect Cell >>>>>> Super Vegeta >>> SSJ Vegeta and Trunks > Semi-Perfect Cell = High 4-C
  • The gap between a heavily suppressed SSJ Gohan and Semi-Perfect Cell is large enough for even his base form to be comparable to Cell, taking into account the meager multiplier of Super Saiyan
• (Buu Saga) Vegeta > Gohan >>> Yakon and Pui-Pui > Shin

also, about that yakon one, gohan knows that yakon can absorb auras now, so he was likely suggesting that he and goku take yakon on while suppressed as not to have their ki leak out of their body and get absorbed
