If you use non-modern VS logic then thats not too unrealistic tbh.
Use Modern VS and/or DB logic tho and Metal stomps Bass into oblivion.

Yeah but Im using logic of non-VS minded focus.
Sonic castwhen lowballed to oblivion are like Building level if you take only direct feats from IDW comics. Meanwhile Bass gets that scaling country destroying statement feat from non-canon manga because reasons and Bass can AP stomp most Speed differences there is. All of Metal's Super forms are then also too specific so he wont get any of those either.
And thats how Bass beats Metal.

Tho thinking about it other way around, since DB seems to buy Popeye's Uni feat, Metal should get same scaling since Base Sonic has Uni dura feat from Generations intro. White Space also has no time, so he should get incalculable speed since characters move in place with no time. Hell, if we'd use "Base Mario beats Dreamy Bowser so he scales to it" logic, one could argue Sonic cast gets similar thing, since Sonic beat Phantom Ruby powered Infinite while PR users can fight Super Forms, thus making Base Sonic cast scale to Tier 1.
Isnt it fun how stats can change slightly depending on one's view of reference?
