Not in my own opinion. It felt like the team respected Goku as a character, and his impact on the industry as a whole. Same goes for Superman, more so since the prior GvS' bashed him.

I think you're overthinking it. The whole ideologies and culture stuff is what sets up the whole fight in the first place, and even then that's from years ago. Now? They actually go over the feats of the two, they respect both characters as characters. It's why we got those speeches at the end of the analysis'. It's why we had that final scene at the end of the fight.
