And you ignored the all the ways to use them in the canon medias are usable part as well, so
No. What shown in the gen 1 games is inconsistent with literally every other time the move was ever used, including games, anime and manga.

Lirerally everything aside from Gen 1 agree it shows a delay, so why treat it in the single instance where it doesn't over the vast majority of instances where it does?

Also, even in Gen 1 it shows Haunter glowing before the screen shakes which indicates the target took damage. That means it shows a delay too

Then make a CRT about it since is literally how Pokemon is currently treated here

And you still ignore that Darkrai resists Trasmutation regardless, so it’s all on if Sonic uses Ring or Violet after the CC.
Sonic also have Sealing with the Magic Hands, which he will use due to bloodlust and Darkrai don't resist that.

He also doesn't resist absorption, which Violet Void have too

Pokéball doesn't prevent the Pokémon from using their abilities though, which the Magic Hands do.
They kinda do, since they never use the abilities from there, even if the trainer was in life danger, they can exit out from the Poke Ball but not attack from inside it.

I guess that it’s a 50/50 on if Sonic uses Ring or Violet 1st again.

Fair point. Then the Magic Hands doesn't work

However, Sonic would first resort to Chaos Control with Bloodlust, and then Ring Time or Violet Void, so while Darkrai is stopped Sonic can Violet Void even if he uses Ring Time first or the Magic Hands
