Dark Type Pokemon Resistance

I've noticed for a while, even before joining the site proper, that Dark Type Pokemon are Resistant to all manner of mental/psychic abilities thanks to their immunity to psychic type attacks. That, however, isn't exactly correct, as, for as long as I can remember, that has only applied to damage dealing Psychic type moves. Dark Type Pokemon are immune to direct damage from psychic abilibies, but not other psychic effects. Hypnosis, Psycho Shift, and even Telekinesis, which directly lifts the target with mental power, still works on Dark types. (I tested them all) To be honest, if they were immune/resistant to all Psychic abilities, Miracle Eye would make no sense as a Pychic Move that negates Dark Type's immunity to Psychic attacks.

This isn't anything really significant, but I figured I would bring it up just to let it be known, if it wasn't already.

To be honest, most pokemon resistances/immunities are pretty arbitrary, for example there's no real between Iron Tail, Megapunch and Dynamic Punch.

Maybe. But this is pokemon, and the 'elemental' types and resistances and how they work are a big part of it. Just something I wanted to point out next time a battle that pits, say, Mewtwo against Yveltal comes around and says Mewtwo's best abilities, being psychic based, are useless against Yveltal because of how Dark Types specifically resist/are immune to psychic moves... Or if Rimuru absorbs Darkeus to get mental hax resistance.. or anything of the sort
