Reposting abandoned calculations for evaluation?

Hello everyone,
I have a quick policy question regarding older, unaccepted calculations. I've noticed there are some calcs and scales for verses that don't have official pages yet. In many of these cases, the original authors have been inactive for years and the threads were just left behind.
Is it acceptable to repost these calculations in the current evaluation pages? I would, of course, give full credit to the original author and link back to their original post so it isn't considered stealing. I just want to know if there is a specific protocol for reviving abandoned work. Thanks!
