As someone pointed above, Luffy is strong enough to hit kill with G2/3 so he may end up trigging the fail safe even tho he doesn't have the intent of killing.

I'd argue failsafe. I'll try and find the scan soon but a similar thing has happened where Ben got crushed by a falling rock, spoke from under it and then transformed into Big Chill to phase through it, specifically in that order.

Only elemental intangibility which isn't natural gets negated according to Calaca. Which eh I think only screws Swampfire over, but eh Swampfire has regen and can just let Luffy punch a hole through him so eh...
