Mario's fate hax will protect him from Return to Zero's most dangerous effects that permanently incaps or kills him as Return to Zero has no feats to counter it and GER doesn't have the knowledge to stop, so Mario eventually breaks out and after that wins.
That isn't how this works, or even how RTZ works.
And it isn't something that you break out of, even with fate hax, it's simply making it so a thing didn't happen.
Fate hax doesn't help with that, and fate hax is honestly something that isn't the best thing to use against GER, given his prior involvement with fate and the like.
And even if he does somehow get around RTZ, what's he gonna do exactly? He can't kill GER, RTZ prevents any damage from transpiring against them (Because mind you, RTZ isn't exclusive to enemies, it can be used on themselves or things in general).
If Mario can't resist RTZ, he can't defeat GER, best he can get is a stalemate as RTZ is a semi-automatic ability that will prevent any action taken against Gio.
All the fate hax does is make it so Mario has to be able to save Peach in the future. GER has a way around that if he wanted to force a stalemate, just keep reversing everything to a point in the past, as such Peach will never get kidnapped in the future, and Mario will never need to rescue her, as reality won't progress. Because reminder, GER can return the whole universe back to a prior point, if GER wants a stalemate, he's getting a stalemate.
the problem with that is it doesnt have feats against fate hax for 1, and 2 wouldn't be affecting gio himself but ger/ or the rtz
Actually, it does, why do you think Diavolo's
guaranteed future that is
fated to happen never happened against GER? Part 5's whole motif is that of fate and sleeping slaves. RTZ can prevent things, even things fated to occur, from transpiring.
Even the guide points out how even if Diavolo sees a future where he won, it won't happen.
