A ice elementalist fights a ice spirit with two personalities

Out of curiosity, since "the only way to fight the spirits" is through what you mentioned, would this apply here?

Verse equalization: Similar supernatural aspects of verses get equalized in a reasonable fashion. So a supernatural energy that almost everyone in a Verse has, which is necessary to fight the characters of said Verse, will be assumed to be the equivalent energy that the opponents use in their techniques so that a proper fight can happen.

The ice spirit is winning the ice elementalist because of more reliable summons defense and offense measures and FRA Edit: modified my words

Rinslet Laurenfrost has a weapon that can be transformed into a wolf, but Rinslet lost her bow when she had the wolf

While for Yoshino... okay her puppet can't be called a summon.

But looks like the No 4 spirit still has good defense and has firepower to attack the wolf and Rin herself.

However... one big problem for most of the STnBD characters: I cannot see calibers for the characters so most would just be barely above baseline by default.

Yeah, that's the issue. The LN isn't good at being precise when it comes to damage in fight scenes. As a result, I can't say how far into 8-A the characters are. If we consider they are baseline 8-A in Volume 1, then since they get stronger throughout the story, they go above the baseline. But there's no way to know how far into the Tier they are (based on Volumes 1-13, at least)
