9-B+ tournament round 1 match 1 (Heavy vs Nia Teppelin)

His attack interval in game is 0.8 seconds, but I find using that value weird because most people could probably punch more than that, and he's supposed to be one of the deadliest mercenaries in the world

He probably just has subsonic-subsonic+ combat speed. I don't even think combat speed matters here though because speed is equalized

I might vote for Heavy tbh. If Heavy gets overwhelmed at close range he'll probably use his uber and/or crit canteens and likely kill Nia. Even if he doesn't kill her during those 5 seconds, canteens usually have multiple charges (up to 3) so he'll likely just use another one if she tries to get close again. The minigun can likely also delete Nia's projectiles since it can delete shots from the Cow Mangler 5000, which shoots energy. But most of the time, it's probably just an incon from Nia self-destructing. (if it doesn't get restricted)

It does matter. The combat speed of the faster character is equalized to be the same speed as the character with lower speed, and every other speed value of the faster character is lowered by the same amount. His Reaction is Subsonic-Subsonic+ and his Attack Speed is Supersonic, so his Combat speed should be Athletic Human

If his combat speed is Athletic Human, Nia’s speed would be decreased to that speed, and would get speed blitz by all his other speed traits

Pretty sure all bullets are just as fast as they are even with speed equal to simulate the usual speed of bullets compared to human speeds
Heavy’s profile says the bullets are Supersonic. And the speed equalization rule says that the combat speed of the faster character (Nia) is reduced to the same level as the combat speed of the slower character. So what ever Heavy’s combat speed is, whether Athletic Human or Subsonic, his weapons speed blitz her, and there’s nothing Nia could do

“Every other speed the faster character has is reduced by the same multiplier. This includes the speed of any attacks, projectiles, reactions, perception, flight etc.”

Exactly, Nia’s combat speed would go from Supersonic+ to Subsonic, and her Travel Speed would be reduced by the same amount as her Combat Speed. Heavy’s speed is unaffected, and all remain the same, since his combat speed is normally slower

Wouldn’t both be equalized to the fastest speed value?

I don’t remember attack speed not being equalized. It’s not even listed on the rules
