9-B+ tournament round 1 match 1 (Heavy vs Nia Teppelin)

Isn’t that equalized too?
No. It literally says the combat speed of the faster character is decreased to be the same as the slower character, and every other speed value of the faster character is decreased by the same amount. The slower character’s statistics remain unaffected. Therefore Heavy retains his weapons’ speed

Standard equipment weapons are part of a character’s statistics no?

This doesn’t make sense to me. none of what you are saying makes sense to me tbh
Nia’s combat speed is decreased to be the same as Heavy’s combat speed. His speed statistics are unaffected, since he’s the slower character in this regard

"The combat speed of that faster character is assumed to be equalized to the combat speed of the slower character. Every other speed the faster character has is reduced by the same multiplier. This includes the speed of any attacks, projectiles, reactions, perception, flight etc." ~ Versus Thread Rules

But I thought all aspects of speed are equalized? Is it not now all the sudden?

Yeah, sadly this match is a stomp speed equal or no speed equal, cause one blitzes the other with standard attacks either way

I’m not sure if speed unequalization would make it fair either, so maybe u could just randomize the brackets again. The other matches haven’t started yet anyway
Why would I do that? I don’t want match 1 to continue on forever and ever?
