Oh wow that's 100% a reference to the Marines raising a flag on Iwo Jima. If there were any doubts that OPM is supposed to be a future version of Earth, this should pretty much squash that.

Is that supposed to be Adam and Eve, I guess we'll need to see translations to be sure that's the implication. Though them wearing shorts and a bikini is hilarious.

Anyways just a meh chapter, glad to see progress. Maybe translations will make it more interesting.

Huh, you're right

It is a future version. Amai Mask is talking about the past, about world wars and how population decreased, how monsters came to be because of the pollution caused by world wars and so. There were multiple nations but then they combined into a supercontinent.

The flag looks more like the USSR's tbh, maybe this is an Earth where the USSR landed on Japan or something lol

But really it's just a reference, nothing else.

Yeah I think ONE and Murata weren't trying to put in an actual irl flag and just wanted to reference an iconic moment from history.

Anyways I might be someone that occasionally complains about all the fanservice covers but I'm just glad Suiko finally got one instead of the 50th Fubuki one. Suiko is best girl ff's.

For the CSRC there was a bunch of threads trying to upgrade it. Those involved:
  • Calcing the destruction of the entire crust
  • Sheering away the entire crust
  • Launching the entire crust into outerspace at escape velocity
  • Vaporizing the entire crust
  • And so on
Eventually we just settled on the current figure and upscaling Boros. Then later on we decided to not upscale Boros so he's at his current tier.

If the manga ever actually adapts Cyber-Boros maybe he'll get more, idk.
I see. Makes sense.

I'm being so honest when I say that it's been enough time since the last discussion for a new one to be had. I'm sure that at the very least we can all agree that the current figure is a massive lowball.

Yes. It's just based on the explosion value, even though we do know it's capable of melting and vaporizing human bones and even the ship itself, which could pass through atmosphere, travel at very high speed (enough to travel the universe within 20 years), and a material far stronger than steel. (If only it destroyed Saitama's costume)

It doesn't scale to ship's durability either even though a small portion of the energy vaporized a huge portion of the ship upon interaction.

It doesn't even scale to Saitama's jump even though Boros himself sees him landing and bringing down the ship. Which Boros believed it would erase both Saitama and the surface of the planet.

There was a lot of back and forth but wasn't it agreed that Boros' statement could also be considerer to be planet-busting?

IIRC the accepted term was "ruin" in the same way that someone's life would be ruined after losing all their money from gambling.
Ruin also included a country devastated by conflict and stuff like that. So it was decided that the Kanji in this context meant destroyed in a figurative sense rather than in a literal sense. So the planet would still be their but suffered some form of catastrophic damage from the CSRC.

Yes, but the current value doesn't include context at all.

Boros's energy is heavily shown to be based on melting/vaporizing, both by feats and statements. Not just that but when he says that he was going to destroy Saitama and the surface, he was talking about erasure iirc.

Explosion end is not suitable at all imo.

I just saw someone argue that Iaian would get killed from a bullet to the head (he thinks Iaian is losing to the Hashira from Demon Slayer and used this as an argument).

We gotta tie these people to moving cars and drag them along the pavement until there is nothing but bone ❤️
