**** it, he's this.

An infested ship chunk landed and forced us to fight it. It went... poorly. @DMUA ate shit (his sole weapon currently is a knife, we need better shit pronto)
Lore accurate
While Hampter was in the hospital I set him up with a cool industrial exosuit thing
Is this just for carrying capacity and such or can it punch?

I don't think it can punch. I can keep an eye out for melee-improving shit in the future, if you'd like.

Apparently its ******* base game? I swear to you I have never seen this shit before. It can only be gained in the tropics, but I've had saves in the tropics in the past. I can only conclude that Randy Random jacked up the probability before I could start getting you guys immune to disease, the bastard.
Imagine not being immune to disease

He's got to have his brawling, preferably in the form of Rider Kicks and Cerulean Impactors

That's probably a bit down the road in terms of tech but it is something to shoot for, if his current suit can't fight in at least an Aliens style

  • @Crabwhale is a body modder without any bionics, so while she was in the hospital anyways I decided to install a breaching arm onto her, allowing her to punch down walls fairly easily and increasing damage dealt with her weapons. @Topaz404 did the operation and while doing so, insulted Aetta's body, which he was modifying. Humorous.
Bro is insulting engineered wetware he can't even begin to comprehend the development cost of.

I mean, im already a Pessimistic Recluse of a man who's Abrasive as hell. Whats one more negative trait?

  • We have spent much of our wealth on a titanium zweihander that does a shitload of damage and pierces a shitload of armor. @Crabwhale gets it while his industrial high-tech sledgehammer thing goes to the next best Melee-ler, Llama. @DMUA will inherit a weapon next but I'd like it to be either electric or punchy since I'm told we have accidentally replicated the character this is based on up to this point.
  • A mech cluster landed nearby and is adapting the weather in a large radius around it to be constantly foggy rain... but that's fine by me, more rain means our crops grow faster and we do better. I love permanent rainfall.
  • @Armorchompy has become the Artler; because he does not sleep, he can constantly work on art, which I am placing in bedrooms to improve their beauty.
  • @Crabwhale is getting married to the dwarf raider king who has stumbled into the mafia.
  • Another day, another raid. We're getting consistent ~1500 points raids. This screenshot also shows end-of-year progress report in terms of base building. Trying to make the base an urban setting, never had such a widespread base.
  • Another pristine ruin mission... we're going to swing by but probably won't be as entrenched as before. We're sending @PsychoWarper and @Lawiegg. This time we have backpacks so carry weight will be less of an issue. It does look less loaded but we'll see. The base seems to have been for dozens, maybe up to a hundred pawns- there's shitloads of workstations and a barracks that probably hosted about 40 pawns at one point on its own, not to speak of individual bedrooms. Their power plant setup is by far their most valuable thing, all of those are advanced and thus contain advanced components. In terms of visible loot at the outset, there is a psylink neuroformer, which means we can make one of you psychic, but otherwise, not much of extreme value; some gold, some hyperweave, nothing crazy yet. It will probably take a day to wipe out what enemies are here and look around so next bullet point will cover that unless something happens at base.
  • Alright, quick rundown of things found: large vanometric power cell (a device that draws small amounts of power over infinite time at no resource cost), a neutro casket (we absolutely needed this, since this is the device necessary to restore neutroamine back into our permanently wounded androids), a solid gold sculpture (albeit a small one), shitloads of components/advanced components, and some misc furniture (hospital beds, advanced modern beds, etc). Nowhere near as crazy ******* cracked as the last one. There's a persona eltex staff here, but it's dogass quality and durability and so I'm leaving it. As we went to leave I found that the game reported substantially more valuable things in the mess of the joint: eltex, signal chips, archite capsules, more bionics, and even biodecoders, which means if we get more high-end biocoded gear, we can un-biocode it and keep it. There's also 25 antigrain warheads stashed away somewhere that I didn't find but, nevertheless, appear on the caravan creation list. These are functionally miniature nukes and I will be keeping them. We had to leave those beds, too heavy, but we did pretty good here (still had to leave a lot of value, more than I thought we would- all the plasteel, about half the advanced components and all of the normal components). Faster mission, less pain.
  • @Epiccheev talked about video games and arcade machines with @Phoenks for nearly an in-game hour. According to the social log Macro never said a word. This was as they ate so I can imagine Gray yammering on through mouthfuls of grilled elephant and tomato soup about high scores and shit while Macro has a nervous PTSD-induced breakdown wondering why the **** this guy is bothering him about virtual worlds.
  • Shortly after this, @Phoenks collapsed in exhaustion in his lab, woke up, and wandered around in confusion for a few hours until @DMUA shook him out of it.
  • The dwarf raider king took off his plate armor and who else should decide to wear it but @Arceus0x. These two colonists represent either side of our size scale here- Llama, our Short King, and Povar, our ******* minotaur, are trying to trade armor, which is not known for its flexibility when it is made of wrought steel. Of course, there is no mechanic preventing this trade, but it is humorous nonetheless. Perhaps he expanded it by beating it with a hammer for awhile.
  • When @PsychoWarper returned to the colony, he soon got Inspired Creativity. I told him to build a rhinoceros leather armchair for our rec room/club. He has 19 Construction skill already, for he has spent 0.75 years constructing. I expected, nay, demanded, our first legendary quality, and this fool, this bug, delivered merely masterwork. I am affronted and appalled.
  • We have a writing bench now so if any of you want to write a book or whatever, let me know. We also now have beer brewing, so we can overcome the Imperial Prohibition and start our "drug" empire, but it's just alcohol. Still no dice on drug synthesis research appearing yet. We'll get there.
We have many, many bionic upgrades already thanks to these (horrible) missions, so, I want to ask before hand whether anyone is strictly opposed to being a cyborg. Say so now or forever hold your piss.

RImworld videogame podcast streamer mod when?

My pawn is already a bodymodder so.

hello mr. crabwhale
Why did you feel that a dwarf raider king would be a good partner and how did you two meet?

Nah, gimme the chrome.

  • @Shadowslash125 began binging on food. @Crabwhale immediately called him fat.
  • FINALLY.
  • @Crabwhale had her marriage finally. Everyone attended except for @Phoenks (research-obsessed, refuses to leave lab), @Armorchompy (robot) and @Lawiegg (robot). Aetta herself was the last person to actually be present for the thing, which is funny.
  • A mechanoid cluster landed and really ruined our lives. A Starfire is a heavy-class mechanoid that shoots microscopic singularities. It landed with a Centipede, which is essentially just a pile of armor and health. Only @Shadowslash125 and @Arceus0x escaped being wounded; we're fortunate that A. we engaged the incredibly tanky Starfire in melee before it could shoot anything, and B. only one of you seem to have suffered permanent injury (I say permanent, because although @Lawiegg's arm was ripped off, we can manufacture a new one in short order and that problem will be fixed); @Topaz404's right middle finger was shot off by a cannon round (update from the future: I tell a lie, Aetta's left big toe was lost to the Starfire mangling it). There was a moment where I was genuinely concerned the newlyweds may die, since they were the ones tag-teaming the Starfire and it mogged them both.
  • After nearly dying in the last battle, @PsychoWarper dragged himself back to base, where his first order of business was to crack open a freshly brewed cold one in our warehouse just before collapsing on the ground.
  • We're building a front business to filter our taxes through (I love hospitality, it's my favorite mod, and I will use it no matter how ridiculously it fits into the save); to make it thematically fitting we will literally put cocaine in the vending machines.
  • Malaria strikes. @Epiccheev and @Topaz404 are splayed upon the chopping block. Suffer now for redemption later.
  • @Crabwhale is pregnant. This will slow down our work in the mines.
  • We bought a roomba :)
  • @Armorchompy is perhaps our main drug creator. He has no actual skill with it but he also doesn't need to eat or sleep. @Lawiegg also doesn't need to eat or sleep but as our shooting specialist, cannot do shit.
  • @DMUA fought a ******* dragon and killed it with a pickaxe, which I think is cool. Granted that it was a small dragon. Still cool.
  • We adopted an Impid orphan roaming the jungle. She's 5 years old and her name is Larath Ronove. We will make a criminal out of her.
  • Following Larath was a bigass bug swarm. It's here now and shit is ******. When we get the notification that they're tearing through the earth to attack us, they're spawning in by our quarry to the south of our settlement proper. I organize our members (except for @Epiccheev and @Phoenks) with melee people in front, ranged people behind. This goes well until @Crabwhale decides to charge past them and attack their hive structures instead of the bugs themselves, leaving her husband and @DMUA to be rather quickly overrun. @Topaz404 begins training them (as in, Call of Duty zombies terminology, not giving them lessons) around with his gauss repeater while the other ranged people do as they can. Aetta is admittedly very successful in their backlines and kills off a great many of their slower members after destroying their hives while @PsychoWarper endures torment unending as the bugs reach his position. He is extremely tanky in his deserter armor, and so doesn't actually go down. @Lawiegg and @Armorchompy eat shit almost in sync but Shady Awakens as a sentient android while he's dying on the ground due to the extreme pressure being put on his programming- so while he might ******* die, he is now sentient and gets a huge buff. Aetta's husband, Llama, keeps going down and then getting back up, picking up his weapon, and rejoining the fight. @Arceus0x goes down shortly after the androids, which is tough since more medics is greatly desirable for a fella such as myself. Golachab is the Friendly Fire Champion of the ******* WORLD because everyone has Gauss Repeater wounds. We manage to defeat the insect group with only a few people (barely) standing, and ending with Armorchompy also awakening. Xol only collapsed from bloodloss as he reached the hospital bed, which is somewhat inspiring, I think. @Epiccheev did end up joining the fight towards the end, but was predominantly focused on saving what flesh he could, having only killed a couple of the dozens of enemies.
awful, horrible. stupid ******* kid.

I have been mentioned...
Wait... Does this mean I'm back in action?

@Shadowslash125 began binging on food. @Crabwhale immediately called him fat.
Lore Accurate. Being a Gourmand means you have to be one with the food, no matter what happens to your body. Even if it means getting called a fat ass.
EDIT: TIL fat/ass without the / is censored.

Unfathomably peak, no need for medicine I have alcohol.

I AM THE ******* WALL!!!

This too is pretty lore accurate, especially when followed by him getting swamped by the horde

Hey, thats the most important of my fingers >:((

Cant blame me too much, i lost a finger very important for keeping a gun still (not to mention the entire mess with the bugs)

Kid aint worth it

  • @Shadowslash125, almost immediately after the last update, did two things. The first was constantly enter and exit range to give @DMUA access to his firing frenzy aura he had activated during the fight. This aura gave Hampter 🤏just barely enough consciousness buff to make him able to walk. So Shadow would get closer to Hampter, Hampter would stand up and begin tending to his needs (removing ****** up clothing, getting new unfucked up clothing, eating, recreation, etc), and then Shadow would dip out of range, causing Hampter to fall to the ground again. It seemed cruel. The second thing was he abandoned the colony. He tried to leave the Mob. Nobody leaves the Mob. @Crabwhale arrested him on the spot. He's recruited again but I was outraged. He did it because he was hungry. Do you know what he was doing when he decided to give up? He was eating. Daft fool.
  • Because we only have the one pod for android repair, we kinda sorta left @Armorchompy laying on the ground for a couple days as we got our situation sorted. Sorry man.
  • Bionics lineup: @Phoenks is getting a neurocalculator and circadian assistant installed, which will substantially improve research speed and reduce need for sleep respectively, @Arceus0x is being made into a machine with the installation of a circadian half-cycler and a nuclear stomach; the former removes his need for sleep entirely in return for a minor loss of consciousness (basically your brain works 15% worse), whereas the nuclear stomach means you no longer need food for nourishment (you still need to eat to replenish body mass); Brawnum require more sleep than others so removing your need for sleep is more impactful (plus I'm digging the notion of having you growing our drugs forever). @Topaz404 receives a learning assistant that will replay important experiences and memories as he sleeps to help him learn faster, and also making his dreams into a constant hellscape of progression. @Armorchompy gets what I already jokingly told him he'd get- a cleaner leg! it will help him clean faster :) @DMUA is getting skeletal bracing that will make him stronger and more durable. @Epiccheev is getting a detoxifier lung that will render him essentially immune to poison and inhaled toxins (such as from lung rot). @Shadowslash125 has the gastro-analyzer, @PsychoWarper receives active camouflage (which grants a perception-altering field over him and can be overcharged to offer outright invisibility), on the basis that as a shotgun user he should be able to use stealth to get closer. @Crabwhale has gained, in total, a bionic breaching arm, a coagulator, and a toughskin gland, which makes her stronger, causes her to heal faster (at least, it closes bleeding wounds very quickly), and causes her skin to become hardened and function as a second layer of armor.
  • @Phoenks has TWO skills in excess of 20, Macro has become a Researching Craftaloid. The crafting XP surge came from fixing @Armorchompy for nearly 24 hours straight (that dude is still not fixed, but at least he isn't constantly bleeding out neutroamine now).
  • @DMUA made a jade statue of @Phoenks as an exhausted anthropomorphic kitsune surrounded by demons.
  • I think this is a humorous exchange. @Epiccheev bit @PsychoWarper.
  • @Crabwhale had a kid, it's a female dwarf named Badrola. It was hot in the hospital, so @PsychoWarper moved her. Except he moved her to the casino, so he could play poker.
  • I just want it to be known that we were visited by both Ugly AND Stupid. Ugly insulted @Epiccheev's height on the way out.
Not so fast of an update and has less content to it, real world things are occurring (he said, frustrated). Still, the Mob persists.

Lmfao thats funny

Priorities people, priorities!

Though i do wonder, has a leader been decided upon?

What's the policy on joining late?

My brother keeps telling me about the new DLC and it's pissing me off because I can't afford it this month.

I can't tell whether this is of respect or hatred 😭
I don't think it says anything that has not already been said by your own self
