Character Rant, based off everything I've read from others in the past, just seems to be one of the most unfun and bitter communities on the entire app where it seems having any sort of opinion gets you belittled or treated like an idiot.

I could be characterizing CharacterRant based off some bad examples, but the things I've seen just don't paint it in the best light imaginable

You probably can't tell the joke directly nor would you want to use the n word, but what was the context used in the joke? I don't condone the usage of racial slurs in any form of context or meaning, but I can't help but morbidly wonder what lead him to say such words

I once claimed that Naruto at his current state should win over Monkey D Luffy at his Gear 5 form. (But that should not get me banned because I remember I pronounced the forms properly)

Then I was told that I made another mock fight passage of Cirno vs Jack Frost with lines from Ganondorf vs Dracula but then some words are "racially modified" and likely "dropped an N bomb" on Cirno who, coincidentally, has a situational super form which... is so situational.

Since we're talking about it again, did we ever establish WHY they did Deku vs Asta? Because no offense, but I still don't buy that MU popular by ANY definition of the term, especially since they both had better.
A combination of the following
1.they did it because they thought it was cool
2.the community kept bitching about Deku vs Gon
3.wanted a Deku episode

Huh. Wasn't actually expecting an answer...

In other news, I learned that Nostalgia Critic might actually win against Angry Video Game Nerd thanks to that "To Boldly Flee" movie. Something about "the Plot Hole"?

I remember Ben Singer (or someone from the DB Team) joking about Deku VS Gon and the reason people wanted that episode was because "it was fair to both"

Which is a bit hypocritical, like, they made Korra VS Storm

Do you think a Deku vs Gon episode would've done as well view wise as Deku vs Asta did or nah? Because even if it is a stomp in the former's favor, Death Battle has done plenty of stomp battles in the past and outside of some characters like Asta I always saw people considering Gon as Deku's best MU.

Though I think Killua vs Misaka showed Death Battle that things like HxH or Toaru aren't going to net them a lot of views so they probably were right to use Asta instead of Gon.

They mentioned awhile back

Asta still stomped Deku so at best it just was the closest as a mu for Deku
Gon gets stomped but isn't among. The worst they could've done

It easily would've done fat better Deku vs Gon was popular among the causal and it was a mu HxH care the most about given MHA is still relevant

Difference is Many didn't know nor care about Toaru as opposed to MHA and most wanted Gon vs Deku

Folks cared for Killua but they did not care for Misaka In comparison Akame or even Damien given causals wanted those two to fight Killua

Now would say Akame vs Killua net clicks up the ass? Nah but it would've decent numbers given peeps are familiar with Akame ga kill despite the quality being mid these days

I thought Akame ga Kill is not relevant nowadays and Toaru series is still publishing new chapters so they believe Toaru series is more relevant than Akame ga Kill nowadays.
Plus theoretically the power gap between Killua Zoldyck and Mikoto Misaka is far lower than between Killua Zoldyck and Akame.
If they bring back Akame it would be Akame vs Katana.

Agk isn't relevant but folks in the west are more familiar with it to an extent as opposed to ToAru
That and Akame has stronger aesthetics given the red n black color scheme

Also nobody cares about katana from DC

Why do People hate Obito vs Vader`? Imo it is one of the best but I see alot of people hating it
Well most aspects are good except for the verdict - say everyone would call off Obito Uchiha vs Darth Vader wrong if they buy the below verdict

Yeah those are fair points to be had. If that's the case then it's possible that in Death Battle's eyes, Black Clover was probably more in the casual eye then HxH has been in the last couple years so they decided to go with Asta since more casuals would recognize him more then Gon.

Of course that could just be bullshit and Death Battle decided to go with Asta to make it more of a "fair" stomp against Gon but I don't know how Death Battle decides what is a good episode and what isn't.

TL DW

Predictions Starts at 27:00 (lol)

They go over Goku first going over his best stuff from the manga, anime, and heroes

Goku is placed at Multi+ probably 5-D to MFTL+/ immeasurable

Go over his abilities with KI (Beams, solar flare, spirit bomb, etc)

They touch on Goku Skill and how impressive his MA feats are ( Learning quickly, different masters, and adaptability )

Zenkai are brought up and how impressive it is for Goku

Then they go into Superman and start with his abilities (Heat vision, Solar radiation absorption, X ray vision, and etc; there’s a lot)

Brings up Superman willpower and how busted it is compared to Green lanterns

Also before going to the stats goddamn Superman is OP as ****

Superman is placed at the Multi+ to scaling to the DC cosmology ( lol lmao even) and immeasurable (faster cuz of cosmology lmaooo)

They touch on DB interpretation of Dragon Ball vs DC ( take a wild guess on who is stronger )

They touch on Goku forms and how they don’t matter because Superman scales to infinity plus 1

Talk about how DB change their view of multipliers from Hulk vs Broly to Goku Black vs Reverse Flash Hulk was robbed lol

Goku has 2 main abilities from Heroes/Xeno which are the Heroes switch which allows to summon character and Keysword ( Clark resist and beats all of this btw )

Hakai also gets resisted lol

MA skill gets compared and give Goku as the better fighter, however they add the caveat that Superman can match or even surpass Goku skill.

Ends the discussion on Superman narrative powers in the story of Superman. They state that Goku is so weak that it would never activate 😭 damn bro

However, it’s random and Superman has lost before, so it wouldn’t be a factor in the fight.

Ends with them coming to the surprising conclusion that Superman wins
