I don't think I'd classify his statement to be an HR concern- it's a little hard to understand him but he seems to just be grossed out by Dereck having a hentai banner? Regardless, he is being overly rude, I'll tell him to knock it off. He doesn't have a history on the warning tracker so I'm hesitant to even issue a formal warning unless this behavior continues.

Let it be known that the series in Derecks banner; "The Ambitions of Oda Nobuna" is in fact not Hentai. Its fanservice slob, but not pornographic.

Thanks. I don't mean for anything but just for him to understand that unnecessarily being rude or hostile is not welcome (which he seems to not understand). Also, yeah, that banner has nothing to do with hentai. idk about his beef with @Dereck03 tho.

I'll be upfront and say the case of Viott isn't nearly as bad, but I am requesting the same measures be applied, that he be banned specifically from creating calcs, or maybe even more specifically, speed calcs, since that's what I take issue with

He has persistently made the same type of mistakes despite explicit instruction from several calc group members, turning every mundane scene of series he likes into as gigantic of a speed feat as he possibly can (in some cases, recalculating the same feat with the same issues), and even if he's not maliciously trying to get things under the radar (which I doubt, given he uses things he knows shouldn't be allowed when the feat would otherwise be unimpressive), the next best assumption is an impermissible level of incompetence.

That's basically the deal, all I have besides that are links to instances where that's demonstrated

I got provoked into it by having this blog be shown to me, which uses a repeatedly rejected instance of a random character having an explicitly speed for their punches (ignoring how that would imply the verse caps at that speed...) and applying that to everything to get around our calc stacking standards, as well as refusing to hold it up against our evading punches standards which... Come to think of it, were literally made in part because of him, since I used this as an example on that thread.

This is probably my most hated example of the top of my head, literally a wall of "Supersonic" feats one actual instance of dealing with bullets and a bunch of contradictory contexts, and his belligerence just made me give up at that point (which, side note, in the process of going through this I realized his name popped up 184 times when I control+F my message wall. What a wonderful life...)

I'll provide more evidence as needed, but I did progressively realize the the problem really is just how he calculates speed feats, the AP feats are fine with a minor amount of correction at most (and there's plenty of both mashed together that I have to actively search through). It's bizarre, but you can see the clear dissonance if you just look through his user blogs.

Could you remind us of the Buttersamurai situation? I take it that we banned Buttersamurai from making calculation blogs, but I don't remember the circumstances of that ban.

It was just a calc ban after Wokistan demonstrated an extensive degree of bad calc making on a ton of stuff he made, that's kinda all there was to it

I distinctly remember him opening the report with "I challenged myself to see if I could get to the 2nd page, where I'd stop if I see a calc with no issues. I got to the second page."
 
Butters was magnitudes worse than this, however this is still a bit bad. I would definitely disagree with a permanent calc ban for what could feasibly be interpreted to be a mixture of poor english comprehension and just honest lack of skill, but I think there's an argument for a temporary one.

Put without technical details, Butter was infamous for egregiously incorrect calculations, often to such extremes that one would have to question whether it was intentional or not. I would feel confident in saying that the belief of most (that is, over 50%) people involved would say that it was intentionally wrong calculations, often for bizarre verses that suffer from very little scrutiny on our site, and thus could feasibly get some of these passed.

I've taken a look at a smaller fraction of the Viott calculations- I've made it a personal rule that I generally won't approach certain verses and Viott's calcs most often involve said verses. I do, however, know that DMUA has discussed a great deal of them via Discord, along with other Calc Group Members who have all agreed that there is a certain amount of wonkiness at work here. As DMUA says, a consistent theme is taking extremely mundane things and applying absurd logic to yield huge speeds.

For my opinion: Viott has wasted a lot of calc group member work hours, net total. I don't know how long it takes other CGMs to go over a calculation but it can certainly take over 30 minutes to try and recreate the steps taken by an individual, especially when it is not explained what it is they're doing (all of you reading should explain what you're doing in your calculations, by the way). From what I know, a calc ban may be warranted, and I'd trust DMUA to be the one to make that judgement because he's looked over a lot of these calculations a great deal more than I have. I'd like to hear a specific proposal, if one exists.

Reading through the replies + evidence provided thus far, and taking a brief look through Viott's blogs myself, I would be willing to endorse something along these lines. A permanent calc ban for what isn't completely unambiguous malicious intent seems excessive - action taken to clearly establish to Viott that they will need to improve would be a good first step. I also like DMUA's suggestion of only restricting them from making speed calcs, as this would enable them to continue improving on their calculation abilities during this restriction period. We do need to discuss an appropriate timeframe, however, and I'm less certain about what would be best.

I just want to make a minor clarification.

It is not a hentai banner, it is an Anime character named Oda Nobuna and the illustration is part of the anime.

And I find it a bit ironic to say that he is grossed out when a few days ago he was asking me for the sauce of the banner.

And to clarify, this is not the first time Jordan has engaged in such behavior. Since some time ago he got defensive because he didn't get my vote nor medeus' and proceeded directly to not count them invalidating them.

The same irony was shown here, just because Medeus agreed with me and not with him, besides if he just likes an admin who agrees with anything he proposes without reading anything then just don't call me on my wall.

And I don't know how many times he has apologized to me and then done the same thing again and behaved the same way, it's already a bit annoying, just check.

To add to this and as I said his apology are BS, that very moment he started accusing me of pedophilia.

And to prove that it is him, apart from having his name in his discord, Ant sent me a private message where someone accused me of the image and they attached this imgur which is the same one I show in the discord screenshot and Jordan said he was going to report me and he reported me. So I hope that some action will be taken here, because accusing me of pedophilia is not a very pleasant thing to do.
 
Literally what he did was say that I was a bad example for VSB mods by having a hentai banner defaming my reputation by doing so and indirectly accused me as medeus of me proposing a wank and calling him to get an auto agree and accusing us by me finding flaws in any CRT he proposes and since my opinion is correct then others agree with me.

And just now angry because I debunked practically all of his rescent CRT.

So yeah, that's false accusations and defamation both mine and indirectly to medeus and those who agree with me.

Didn't the accusationt happen off-site though? I am not sure if we can permanently ban him for saying something like that off-site.

It was seemingly said on discord, while it is messed up it happened off site so that shouldn't be used against him. If that were the case most of us would be banned for ranting about other people when upset (Let's not act like we've never said anything like "that guys a dumbass.")
